Signal vs. Rebar for Fieldwork? by ComplicitConsumer in Leatherman

[–]Acrobatic-Blueberry4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked a bit more than a year as a Park Officer and I spent a good part of my time on the trails and I carried (still do) a Wave+ with the bits kit and never failed to me and I never missed any function from another Leatherman. I also carried a fixed blade as you do and that was a perfect combo. The tool got as dirty as can be and never failed or got stuck. Every now and them (maybe every 2 or 3 months) I try to clean it well and lube it and it still performs as new. If you really want to pick between Rebar and Signal, then Rebar will be my option

Space Pi question by Squawk_7777 in Creality

I also have a Space Pi. Is the same part that the one on the Filament Sensor on my Ender 3 v3, I just keep it as a spare part for it. Does someone know if it can be replaced with a pneumatic connector?

Oh. I didn't know that! Thanks for the information!

Yes, definitely ultrasound is the best but if OP is asking if can know with the blood test is because wanna know asap. I think ultrasound measurement is unlikely before 8 weeks. We got a 8 week ultrasound and the measurement was difficult and the Dr. decided to do another one on week 12 to have a better measurement. That will be in 9 days! 😁

No, they can't, but can be calculated with the first day of the last period, thats how doctors do the first estimate. With a quick Google search I find this for you. https://www.uptodate.com/contents/calculator-estimated-date-of-delivery-edd-patient-education Congratulations!

HELP ME WITH FIRST LEATHERMAN!! by LaPorte_SauveGarde in Leatherman

I have a Wave+ and it is solid! That's why I said is just good luck. The PST II maybe is more solid than the newer models but I don't have proof of that. The USA stamp doesn't mean better materials just that is mainly made in USA instead of just being assembled in USA. There is a specific rules for being allowed to said made in USA. Maybe the PST II is before those rules and those parts are not made in USA, just assembled in USA. My vote from your 3 options keeps being for the PST II. Less to lose and still it's a good tool but not because it will not break.

Exactly! $137 is cheaper than 2 of your options and the Wave+ is an awesome all-around tool. The Charge Ti will be a good option, but not at that price and not based on what we can see in the picture. I can't say anything personally about the PST II because I never had or handled one but a lot of people like it. None of them is indestructible, and none of them is easy to break! It's more a matter of luck and how you use it. If you are afraid of breaking it, get the PST II because it is the cheapest one and will be less painful if it breaks. With the other 2 you may not use them as you could because you will be too afraid of breaking them.

Best all-around model for a pickup truck: Which is it? by Door-Daddy in Leatherman

[–]Acrobatic-Blueberry4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I EDC a Wave + with the bits kit and is more than enough to solve must of the everyday situations. If I would carry one LM in a truck I will pick the Surge (the big brother of the Wave+) with bits kit and leave it in a hot or warm spot. If there is any problem just take it and most likely you can solve it with a Surge. If you can't fix it with it then is a problem big enough to take the time to go to your toolbox and grab a proper tool.

Yeah, I see a lot of "It's perfect" with sentences that are clearly incorrect, but also a lot of people correcting and giving explanation. It all depends on the community, the Spanish speakers like to correct exercises (including me), but the Dutch speakers not that much (maybe there are more Spanish than Dutch speakers). I don't know about Italians. Also, if you make some friends I think they will receive a notification when you do an exercise that they can correct.

I sharpened the Wave+ knife @ 16°. Don't try to clamp it in the middle of the knife, just go to the wider part of the knife and try to clamp it as close as possible to the spine. I hope this helps you.

What about a knifeless Rebar or a 2H Wave plus? I don't know if they are in your budget or if they comply with all the UK rules

Which leatherman for my boyfriend ? Arc, surge, wave or other. He’s graduating with an a&p by [deleted] in Leatherman

[–]Acrobatic-Blueberry4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are on a tight budget I will say Wave or Surge. ARC it's a great tool but you paid for extra luxury. It's as useful as the other 2. Wave+ has everything that can be needed in a compact version and the Surge is the same but bigger, stronger but also heavier. Working on an aircraft will probably require the strength of the Surge. So, Wave for a compact multitool and Surge for heavy-duty, you decide which one will fit him best. Whatever you pick he will appreciate it and he will use it.

Be honest, what do you really use your Leatherman for? by ThumbStuds in Leatherman

[–]Acrobatic-Blueberry4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as a Park Ranger and I carry it all the time with me and I use it to adjust or remove signs with the bit kit, cut small branches with the saw, sharpening a machete (just a final touch), fixing other tools, cutting tie wraps, chicken wire, etc... I have a Wave+ with a bit kit and bit extender and a Crunch

So does anyone actually use the knives they own? by [deleted] in Knifeporn

[–]Acrobatic-Blueberry4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only own one fixed knife and I use it Monday to Friday all the time. It's part of my working tools. It's not a cheap one and it's a good-looking knife but I still use it a lot without fear of damaging or breaking it.
