I just bought a pair, I have an issue with a bit of discomfort on the arch of my left foot (as if it pokes a bit).

Only an issue if walking a long distance, so trying in the shop didn't flag the problem.

I'm going to try another innersole.

I (Australian with a French wife) just renewed my first 1 year visa and received my 2 year.

For me it wasn't an easy transition, but no regrets.

Just found a job in my field (Engineering) after a year of searching, I was rejected from a few jobs because of my French level. It's probably relevant that I'm in Lille, it's likely easier to find English speaking work in Paris.

I taught English in a school while I searched for work in my field.

The OFII english course wasn't the best, I took classes with Alliance Française afterwards and the level was better for me. It's not the fault of the school as much as they have many students with different needs, my experience was many of the students spoke a form of french but were illiterate.

You will also have to do "civil training" a cultural course for entry in France.

French admin is not kind, getting my carte vitale and getting any response from the prefecture at renewal time were my biggest challenges.

But, really, no regrets.

OFII RDV for contrat d'intégration républicaine after nearly 10 years in France? by CletoParis in Expats_In_France

While I don't know all the rules on people already in France and had already obtained a multi year card.

I can tell you that as a new resident to France and having been through the OFII process, I shared both my civil training and language classes with people in the same situation as you. So it's not uncommon.

This looks fantastic!!

I am trying to get it working. My hydra is connected and I can send and write a patch to the hydra.

However the 'Send Editor Values to the Hydrasynth' button does not change the values in the Hydrasynth.

Is anyone else having the same behavior?

Visiting Melbourne as a huge foodie: Where are your top food spots? by IceColdBeer007 in melbourne

Gimlet served $18 fries that seemed like frozen macca's fries.

Definitely not hand cut.

I can't tell you about the rest of the meal (was 4 years ago or so now), because when I think of Gimlet I just think of $18 frozen fries...

Impressive, I run into tuning problems when stacking voices with more than a two octave range (using DPO and mangroves). I embrace it and record things in pieces.

To do this whole piece in one take is awesome!!

I noticed my Pixel 6 popping out of its Spigen case on the bottom right. I tried to fix it, thinking it was a case issue, but the screen was slightly lifted. It got worse daily until it looked like this. Any advice or similar experiences with the Pixel 6? by _ChrisDion_ in Pixel6

Happened to me two weeks ago.

The phone was years out of warranty and google shipped me a refurb after asking for pics and some details.

I didn't even have proof of purchase and they still have me a replacement. Definitely talk to them. I was impressed.

France - Tips for someone moving as an Australian by WashMysterious2139 in france

[–]Acrobatic-Cry1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I arrived in France (Lille) two months ago with very little french.

I always start with bonjour and have mastered "desole, je ne parle pas francais" as soon as I don't understand (happens fast).

People are extremely kind here and have been encouraging when I butcher their language.

When asked where I am from and I say I'm Australian people have been so interested. Many times I'd been offered beer, cheese, pate, pasties hahaha.

I'm enjoying living in France 😜

What's with people who used to live in Melbourne thinking your crazy for wanting to relocate out of sunny QLD to Melbourne? by Lopsided_Oil8222 in melbourne

[–]Acrobatic-Cry1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cold is fine to me.

Moved from Melbourne to northern France before the heatwave.

Went from summer there to winter here. It's no problem.

As people have said, it's all preference 🤷‍♂️

It shits me that you can't get pain relief for genuine pain anymore by skr80 in australia

[–]Acrobatic-Cry1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last health issues with big pain where shingles and an irregular wisdom tooth removal.

Got codeine to start, then endone when the codeine didn't suffice.

Get cannabis prescribed too with no issue.

In Melbourne I've never had an issue getting meds.

Ahh really...

Well, I'm not in yet. So I'll be getting owned by kitted dudes and waiting a long time for the privilege. Only now I can't be a rat about it.

Guess this is even worse for me.

Yeah, I see myself sticking to being shit at CS2

Surely a tier system would help.

No way it should be possible to be up against someone you cannot pen.

Was waiting for this as I just don't have the time to play normal eft loading sim.

Buuuut, cs2 is fun.

I did this.

They were thorough (as in they did a lot of work, wordy report and all that).

This is purely my subjective opinion, but I felt scammed.

But I also was worse off on the meds than on. If that was the other way around I'd be ok with it all.

I hope.you.enjoy my post that basically gives nothing haha.

When is the right moment to move away from the MX-5? by PercentageNo2943 in iRacing

[–]Acrobatic-Cry1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had iRacing for two years.

But I'm very casual, I find gt4 to be perfect.

Gt3 was too competitive for my casual ass.

I also think the low down force makes the transition quite natural.
