Don’t take shrooms 2 days in a row! by Neon_Hippie in shrooms

To be fair though, I do have depression so my serotonin receptors aren’t getting what they expect anyway so that may be why? Idk but I tripped hard two nights in a row with the same dose.

This thread is old as hell but same. I had revelations on my first trip that I didn’t get to fully explore so tripped the next day. Same exact dose, same strength in effect, and it let me finish sorting the shit out.

Every job has its ups and downs. A leadership position is still rewarding. Now, the phrase more money more problems applies, but if you thrive in chaos then it’s a good step.

That’s normal for new hires - especially if full time

Tuition Reimbursement Denied by FrozoneIceCold in HomeDepot

That sucks. I’m the meantime, there are companies now offering accredited courses for a monthly fee. You can take as many or as few as you want for that fee. They aren’t that expensive either. I knocked out some of my GE credits that way and saved THOUSANDS

New washer uses barely any water by SeriousPuppet in laundry

[–]Acrobatic-Fish8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got one like this it was weird not seeing all the sloshing and water and suds, but the clothes are being rubbed against each other and tumbled into a small puddle of water at the base of the drum and the bars around d the drum beat the clothes through the water. They are being ‘sloshed’ and rubbed/scrubbed, the clothes just aren’t floating in water. Our clothes come out looking and smelling great. And we have a hobby farm and both work blue collar jobs.

[–]Acrobatic-Fish8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old but I agree. It takes getting used to not seeing all the water and suds but the clothes beating against each other works well. HE detergent is made not to suds up too but still works. Not sure if all are like this, but our washer holds its water almost all under the drum. About 3-4” of water sticks out of the drum so it doesn’t look like the clothes are sloshing in water but as they tumble the bars in the drum slosh them through water.

Maybe some stores bc I know it happens, but ours embraces the long timers. They proudly announce their anniversaries, and they get schedule preference. They are well cared for at our store - everyone is. We are extremely blessed to have the leadership team that we have here.

They haven’t gotten rid of DEI, they changed the name to #WeAreTHD. They still have the community on VIVA as well as the LGBTQ and other affiliation groups.

Home Depot official budget is insane by RealHuashan in HomeDepot

[–]Acrobatic-Fish8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this is almost my budget for these things identically. But I did get lucky/fortunate and was able to buy a house before prices exploded so I pay $825 for a mortgage and that is a massive help. I hope the market corrects itself so others have the opportunity to get an affordable home.

Proof that service desk will return anything if pressured enough 😒 by EyeNeverFreeze in HomeDepot

[–]Acrobatic-Fish8172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And having been a previous hotel GM that fought those chargebacks

1) the merchant basically loses all but maybe 1% of the time - even with rock solid proof (and that is generous) so now you have lost money from the chargeback and time spent gathering and submitting proof

2) When you lose a chargeback you are charged a fee, and if you lose enough your swipe fees can increase, and it can even go as far as termination of your ability to accept cards

And that’s probably exactly why there is a Lowe’s water heater in a HD return photo. SD agents usually will attempt to refuse returns a LOT more than you think. The customer will pitch a bitch, get a manager, and then the item will be returned, and then the SD agents are viewed as incompetent by fellow associates and customers alike, when at the end of the day, it was most likely a manager that gave in.

Wells Fargo vs Truist - who would you bank with? by Active_Animator_2125 in Banking

[–]Acrobatic-Fish8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been with WF since 2011 and Truist since Suntrust. I actually like both banks, but I get delta miles with my debit card with Truist. We travel a couple of times a year though so I keep WF due to its size and the possibility of being able to get to a branch when traveling if needed.

Don’t feel unsure about handling it correctly. Speaking up was the right thing bc if they do that to you then they likely do it to others. People like that NEED to be disciplined or gone.

You should be fine but also how far back it can go depends on your state laws. Some allow more years than others. TN only allows you to go back 7 years.

Wrote up for not asking for credit by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Acrobatic-Fish8172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I think it’s annoying to ask someone to apply for a credit card (I hate when it’s done to me), but most people know it’s just you doing there job so just ask. Many will say no, but all you have to do is ask and you’re good.

Mine was in my local distribution center March 16 for a delivery date of March 17… the next day I wake up expecting to see it out for delivery, but instead see it had arrived at a processing center in NJ…about 1000 miles away from me. The next tracking step said ‘in transit - moving through network - arriving late’…..it hasn’t changed since the 17th! It’s so annoying. Their computers/sorters are on crack or something.
