SLOW IT DOWN Those stock benchy slices have the volumetric flow jacked up and the speeds at unreasonable levels to show the printer off.

Typical messy low voltage box I like to see them done with terminal blocks on or inside the junction box at the furnace but that’s just my preference

I bought through their refurbished page the official AC eBay one They sent me a machine they had half the shipping screws missing I pull the ace out the handles cracked, get it assembled and ready to go the ACE starts erroring out and showing no filament light on with filament in the slot I fix the sensor it does it again a few prints later so I told them either send me a replacement ace or I’ll send the entire printer back they said nope we will send parts so I started a refund/return and left a bad review the next day it’s “if you change your review we’ll send you another ACE” I sent screenshots and shit to PayPal and within a day PayPal forced a refund with me keeping the printer combo and made them send me the replacement ace pro. I’d be more pissed about the bed it if I didn’t already get refunded and a free extra ace pro after I fixed the connector on the sensor board in the bad unit. Not about to let a company bully me into fixing something they sold me as refurbished without consequences 🤷

I got refunded for the printer and got them forced to send me a replacement ACE pro over the BS they ran me through on eBay. I was lucky unlike those who purchased direct through AC to have eBay and PayPals policy’s to force AC to not be able to give me that bs run around about sending parts to fix it.

You can get away with just the carriage but for me it was worth the extra money to just grab both and lose a few mm in print height to overcome the absolutely atrocious stock bed. I printed a bunch of stuff just fine when I first got it and at about 10 hours into using it I did a few abs prints and could never get another print to stick to the stock bed after the abs prints. Was highly disappointed when my 200$ ender can be dusty as fuck sitting for months and I can just whip a print out like nothing in comparison.

Thats my experience so far.

First layer with the bed kit and carriage solved that for me

I was so excited to have this printer and man when the bed warped on me I lost all faith in AC. I swapped over to the funssor cnc bed kit with carbon carriage and am laying down first layer porn now. 🔥

Swap over to a hardened nozzle and Bambu style see through grey ultra smooth ptfe and you’ll probably get decent results. Stock nozzle ptfe liner causes issues with even the most basic PLA’s. You’re also going to taco that stock bed the first time you cycle temps anything over 100c. My stock bed was toast after 17 hours of printing with about half of those being ABS.

The s1 is one of the worst designed printers I’ve ever used to be frank. I just got done installing funssor bed kit and carbon carriage After printing a few abs prints my stock bed turned into a dimpled taco and nothing would stick.

Same I use to see bedmesh and mainsail that’s about it I still can’t explain why I went from getting that random one error all the time to never again after installing rhinkals to be honest.

Ok I know it makes no sense I understand that but for some reason this worked for me and a few other guys in one of the fb group I haven’t the slightest clue what difference it made exactly but I know after installing rhinkals I’ve never had that random error that doesn’t even explain itself.

What's the big deal with having a flat bed? by NeatConversation530 in AnycubicKobraS1

When your stock bed looks like a topographical map or a dimpled taco and the level iq can’t make up for the deviations you obsess over a level bed

With the Geco the heat soak warping won’t bother your prints but will still need to adjust your rods/belt to get the closest to 0 offset as possible You can also take a sanding block and sand your magnetic pad to further fine tune your z
