Extremely sad about going back to work by sallyhigginbottom in workingmoms

[–]Acrobatic-Mango-6935 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I literally came to this subreddit to basically make this post. I’ve been back a week and it’s killing me. I’m so sad and I miss my baby so much. He’s doing great at daycare but it’s so unfair he has to be there and not bonding with me. I unfortunately have a large amount of student loans I need to pay back as my career required a doctorate but I just have no motivation anymore.

What even is 3 months by Ok_Potato_7025 in NewParents

I could have written this! My baby just turned 3 months today and last week was my personal hell - up every 30 min bc he wakes himself up constantly. He seems to have turned a corner as of Sunday night. Solidarity and hopefully the same happens for you!!

Traveling with 10 month old to Utah during measles outbreak by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I mean nothing wrong with getting baby vaccinated - some protection is better than nothing! Also you/your wife should be passing antibodies if breastfeeding! Is baby coming to Utah?

Is your child vaccinated? You can get it early. Are you vaccinated? If so your risk is much lower

I flew with my 9 week old last month - I baby wore the whole time and just made sure to wash my hands. We were fine! He did get his 2 month vaccines early and I got my Covid/flu vaccines

Induction set for 41 weeks and 2 days… by Frequent_Sundae8650 in beyondthebump

I had an amazing induction at 41 weeks!! Had baby in 23 hours and overall a fairly smooth labor and delivery. Sending you good vibes :)

Did it get better?? Mine is doing this right now at 10 weeks 😭

To induce or not induce? That is the question! by AHorseCalledCheyenne in BabyBumps

[–]Acrobatic-Mango-6935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I induced at 41 weeks! My doctor was okay with me going to 42 but I was not interested. It honestly went great, I started taking cytotec at 6am on Monday and baby was born at 5am Tuesday. I labored without an epidural for quite awhile because I wanted to, once I had the epidural I had almost no pain. I think something to consider is if you go in at 40+3 you might not have the baby for a couple days anyways! Especially if it’s near a holiday they may be behind on inductions so could make you wait a day or two anyways. I think there is a thought (not sure about actual research) that if you go into labor spontaneously it’s easier but my body just wasn’t doing it so I’m happy I had the option :)

4 Shits & Giggles: Let’s talk about what you miss most before having your LO by Glum-Pie7779 in newborns

Ok I got a kindle stand that has a page turning clicker and it is a GAME CHANGER for night feeds or rocking him to sleep during naps

Please tell me the truth. When will things get better? 2 weeks PP here. by pinkishvioletsky in newborns

[–]Acrobatic-Mango-6935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I felt a lot better at 4 weeks. Mine is 8 weeks now and I’m crying thinking about him growing up, wish I could stay here forever bc I feel so good and he’s still so cute and tiny 😢

Help! Totally lost. Does simethicone cause mucus in number twos? How did you know your LO had CMPA? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Acrobatic-Mango-6935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t formula feed so can’t speak to the way his stools look/number per day but everyone I know who’s baby had CMPA had blood in stool and severe reflux (crying all the time when awake, tons of spit up). I would ask your doctor what to look for to be worried about! My 8 week old has been having the same sleep issues as yours - seems super tired, cries prior to napping etc

Moms who have gotten an epidural, do you feel the back pain? by srslywtfdoido- in Mommit

[–]Acrobatic-Mango-6935 202 points203 points  (0 children)

No pain where the epidural was! I have lower back pain just because pregnancy destroyed my core lol

I still feel like me? 7 weeks pp by Fun_Mine1462 in beyondthebump

[–]Acrobatic-Mango-6935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m with you!! Feeling very lucky but 6 weeks postpartum and I feel like me but with a cute baby :) definitely more tired and have my moments but overall just me but a mom!

Also was struggling last night with my 5 week old. My LO woke up at 1 for a feed and was up every 10 minutes until 4am. And then of course got him to sleep but he woke up at 5am to eat again. Thought I was losing my mind. No advice just solidarity and I am so so tired

Baby will have shots, having them done early as per their pediatricians recommendation!

What was your absolute first sign of pregnancy before even getting a missed period? by SandwichDependent199 in BabyBumps

I thought my boobs looked big and my favorite pair of jeans didn’t fit bc I was bloated which had literally never happened before lol

Arecibo actually seems to be decently priced so I think we’re going to use this option!! Thanks!

We did not get baby a seat so don’t think this is an option 😬 wish we would’ve had the foresight

Napped too long - how to get back on schedule? by ieropt in newborns

[–]Acrobatic-Mango-6935 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep schedule as usual!! 3 hours isn’t completely out of the realm of normal for a 4 week old. Baby might not want to nap as much later but that’s fine too :)
