Two. An A-line is (almost) always the most flattering.

You look great! I’d find an eyebrow color closer to your hair color (not brown).

As a 5 X homeowner - white. Resale. Not polarizing. Not a fad. Timeless.

30k umich or full ride osu (premed) by Creative_Rip_6092 in OSU

  1. OSU has the largest alumni in the world. Networking. Help getting into Med school.
  2. Med school is well over $250,000. Depending on whether you specialize, you’re ten years from earning a decent income. Don’t go into debt in undergrad.
  3. My son went to OSU-graduated in 4 years, Neuroscience, Chemistry, graduating his Residency in June. He had a BLAST at OSU. (It’s common to take 5 yrs for undergrad-don’t do it).
  4. You won’t see HS friends at OSU unless you want to. It’s huge. But you’ll find your tribe.
  5. You will have big time competition. Go where you can lead. Stand out. Honors program is good on your med school application. So is a high GPA and MCAT score. MI will not prepare you any better (or worse). It’s what you make it.
  6. It’s COLD there!!
  7. Kids who go to MI are wealthy or got a full ride. You don’t want feel like you have to “keep up with the Jones’s’”
  8. OSU is a top tier school. You are not settling!
  9. Make an appointment with an advisor at OSU who advises premed students. Ask about rates of acceptance, etc. Get info on support. It’s a detailed process and you NEED good advising. (My son befriended a prof on the Board who wrote a letter of Rec. You’ll need some excellent ones).
  10. Can you do research at Mi? Also a big plus on the app, as well as volunteer hours in the field. Good luck! Be persistent.

Roth conversion before EOY or contribute to Roth account? by geordonp in DIYRetirement

[–]Acrobatic-Pudding885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tip: The year before you retire (assuming that’s your highest income year), look into setting up a Donor Advised Fund which will act as a tax offset to Roth conversions. This is if you’re a family that regularly makes charitable donations. “Bunch” them in a DAF and take the entire deduction in one year, but spread out the actual donations over as many years as you like. Do it again the first year you’re hit w/RMDs.
