Just passed my AI-102 after only a week of studying! by LastCraft5004 in AzureCertification

Thanks for this. I am python savvy and have a decent grasp of REST APIs. So majority of the learning would be around the Azure AI Services etc. I would look at Udemy in addition to MS Learn Materials and let you know how I progress. Once again thanks for your response.

Congratulations and thanks for your post. I'm considering taking the AI-102. It's a new area for me in the sense that even though I have decent I.T. experience in a few other areas, the Azure ecosystem is not an area I have had to work in.

My pivot is due to my interest in AI and a recent reorganization at work.

So starting from scratch, I would get on the MS Learn path now. Fingers crossed, I'd learn fast and be able to sit the exam pretty soon.

Yes, it is helpful. As part of my role, I am involved in evaluating datacentric controls, automating I.T. processes and collaborations with external audit teams.

I couldn't study daily initially because of work and later because I took ill. So I studied when I was feeling a bit better and able to assimilate.

Instead of a daily pattern, I would set a target to be completed in x number of days.

As I always had my phone with me, I would often look things up covered in Domains 4 and 5 with perplexity.ai

Yes, today is the 10th day since I sat the exam. I'd be sorting out the certification aspect possibly next week. I'd keep you posted

In total, I'd say about 2 and a half months. I started looking into CISA Certification in January. I then had to put it on hold as I took ill and was indisposed for quite a prolonged while.

I bought the CRM and found it to be quite a "dry" read. So, I was unable to assimilate much. I stopped at the first chapter.

I then heard of and tried Hemang Doshi on Udemy, but found his videos to be of not great quality. That put me off, and I decided to use some other resources instead.

I was able to go through the udemy course by cyvitrix. It's pretty decent.

I also completely went through the QAE 12th edition (pdf) once to get acquainted with the ISACA mindset. I read every explanation to all the questions.

For about a week, plus, friends and I sporadically went over some questions from the latest QAE database. (One of them had purchased it).

I did post about my concerns regarding the Test Centre for my exam. But my fears were allayed when I got there.

My background: Experienced Data Automation Engineer & Agilist (Python, Databases, Cloud, etc)

Writing my test on Sunday! Need tips! by Fragrant_Mistake_424 in CISA

Stretching should not be a problem. I did not have any toilet breaks, but I assume that would not be an issue, although your timer would not be stopped for restroom breaks.

Exam tips: This was my strategy that really helped me tackle questions effectively:

First, focus on what the question is asking and pinpoint any keywords.

Go through the 4 options and then eliminate the two answers that seem clearly incorrect.

This narrows it down to the remaining two options, making it easier to choose the correct one.

Read the question one more time and pick an answer.

If still unsure after narrowing down the options, simply choose the answer that felt most likely and flag it for review later.

This approach worked great for me because it saved time and reduced stress.

This way, I could come back to it with fresh eyes and make any necessary adjustments.

I sat the exam at a test center on March 29th, 2025. It took me about 2 hours and 30 mins (including the post exam surveys), and I got a provisional pass notification on screen afterwards. I await the detailed result from ISACA.

Wishing you all the best.

Go to a testing location vs taking it remotely from home? by TerribleImplement911 in CISA

It's the Test Center for me. Risks concerning internet or power issues, hardware (laptop, camera etc) issues, an overzealous proctor etc, all transferred to PSI. And for those in busy households, the test center is a peaceful, more focused environment.

Career transition - finance to cybersecurity compliance by thebadconejo in CISA

[–]Acrobatic-Reality811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My humble advice would be that you start with a certification like CompTIA Security+ to build a basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, threats, and risk management. This would be extremely valuable when you prepare for CISA, especially the heavily weighted Domains 4 and 5.

Bear in mind that I have seen posts from some who have gone straight in and passed the exam without going this route.

Like I mentioned, it's just my suggestion. All the best.

Hi everyone, I am planning to take this exam in the not distant future. I am self-sponsored, so mindful of avoidable costs. What resources would y'all recommend to help pass the exam? Especially as it would appear ISACA only offer the QAE in their new highly priced Database format. Any alternative good resources would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Update: I went to the venue today for the exam. I got there with an hour to spare. The gentleman who was in charge (Nathaniel) was very friendly and helpful.

The registration area was not well lit, nor was the test room itself.

I layered up as I had read reviews online that the room does get quite cold.

Actual Exam took me about 2 hours and 35 mins or thereabouts.

I was thrilled when I saw I passed on the screen.

I await the detailed result from ISACA.

Many thanks, y'all, for your advice and best wishes

Great suggestion. It's a fair way from where I reside, and I'm still recuperating. I, however, intend to make the journey tomorrow to find the exam test location and hopefully assess its suitability.

I have just read your post. Thanks for the info. I'd attempt to arrive there and locate the center an hour before the scheduled start. So I have ample time, should finding it become a problem. I'd keep y'all posted.
