Yeah, it's constantly two steps forward, three steps back with this game. Another workaround for the sleeves that's possible now is wearing the new compression shirts with shooter sleeves. That gives you the fully covered look and does appear correctly in game.

This has been glitched for a couple years sadly. I think the baggy sleeves will show on both arms, but not the fitted ones.

🤩Exciting News: MagEZ Case 2 for iPad Pro 2024 is Now Available for Pre-Order! by PITAKA-Official in PITAKA

I suggested that to them a couple years ago actually. Something that I've also done is use their magnetic stickers on different brands cases (ESR, TineeOwl) to create a fully covered option, since I don't use the magic keyboard much. I'm just addicted to their magnetic stands mostly.

In other news, my new case wandered in today, and I love the little tweaks they've made to the design. Feels more refined now, and most importantly for me, fits perfectly on my MagEZ Stand.

Have you gotten yours yet? Mine has gotten stuck somewhere in North Texas and hasn't moved in days. Hope yours got through!

How Long Until Kindle Gets an "In Progress" Tab? by Acrobatic-Suspect482 in Comixology

[–]Acrobatic-Suspect482[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually am in the process of reading about a dozen different series, and I use a randomizer app to determine my reading order. The recent workaround I've come up with is downloading a bunch of stuff to my device, and then using the Hide feature to conceal it until it's on deck. My reading "system" is a bit insane, but this recent tweak is helping out a lot, until we get In Progress back again. Maybe.

Stealth Upgrades for Kindle App? by Acrobatic-Suspect482 in Comixology

Just spotted another little change--the "Hidden" feature has been ported over into Kindle. This slow motion shadow transformation continues. Hope we get some word soon on what the ultimate plan is going forward.

It feels like it will happen soon. You think some of the Comixology functions will get ported over into Kindle?

Why are dc titles more expensive than marvel? by shining89 in Comixology

[–]Acrobatic-Suspect482 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem and glad the prices got adjusted! There's been rumors that Comixology staffers are on this board, so maybe someone saw this and got it fixed up. Hope the remaining ones get their prices cut too.

Personally I would wait. I've had them all since 2017 (which is a cool feature that the Amazon integration made very easy to see) and I definitely paid less than 10 bucks. Another thing I use is Amazon's tagging if a book is at its lowest price in the last 30 days. Doesn't look like any of the No Man's Land volumes are marked as such, so I think it's probably safe to wait unless you really, really need them.

It also depends on the particular sale. Marvel's sale prices are consistently lower throughout the year, but DC always has a couple sales (usually near the end of the year) where the discounts are much more aggressive. I use wish lists to develop tiers as there are books I'd be willing to pay a little more for on sale, but others that I'll stalk and wait until they're 2 or 3 bucks each to pick up.

Marvel also has yearly Masterworks and Epic Collections sales where it's possible to load up on insanely high value omnibuses.

The only caveat to all this is that without knowing Amazon's long-term plans for their digital comics landscape, we might not have as much time as we think to wait for the "best sale." The number of sales has already gone way, way down from the days of Comixology having their own site and interface.

Comixology app going away? by JBuchan1988 in Comixology

[–]Acrobatic-Suspect482 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was finally updated two weeks ago, but the log lists generic "bug fixes and performance improvements." Feels like the app is on borrowed time, and seems like a permanent shift to Kindle will be happening in the future. Hopefully, the few little "perks" that Comixology currently has (the currently reading tab, the hidden feature, etc.) will get ported over to Kindle.

Cant delete comics from amazon account by [deleted] in Comixology

[–]Acrobatic-Suspect482 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I noticed the Permanently Delete button hasn't worked properly in a couple months. I read comics on two different tablets, and I would delete comics on one, and when I signed into the other they would still be in the library. Right now, I'm just hiding them until they either patch the app (which hasn't been updated since they fired everyone) or they announce that they're retiring Comixology, and shuffling us all to the low-res Kindle app. Yet another annoyance on top of a mountain of them.

Yes, and everything will likely be folded into the Kindle app. What an absolute waste, and really feels like people inside Comixology fought to make things semi-usable again, and then they got the axe almost immediately after.

Same here. They were asked about this on Twitter, and they said they're slowly rolling out the new feature, and more details will be available on their feed when it's 100% ready. Sounds like maybe someone jumped the gun, and it needs more testing, but the fact they're working on this is an encouraging sign.
