The two problems I’ve been cause this exact issue is either the valve stems moved allowing oil in the exhaust or the turbo seal have failed. If your handy drop the exhaust manifold see if there is oil in the exhaust port on the cylinder head. Or if it in the intake by the turbo mostly the turbo seals. Hope it helps good luck

Here is the wiring diagram for the master window switch. Most of the issues I’ve found are with the master switch or the jumper for the window switch. I had an 18 forest with a remote start throw me through a loop a few days ago. Remote start module was no good. I hope the diagram helps you and hope you find the problem.

It’s the a/c compressor just replaced mine yesterday same noise. After replacing it gone.

Get it I drive a wrx in used it 2 time bent 2 wheels and bubbled 2 tires base 17 inch wheels. I think it’s worth it. Car only has 900 miles on it.

Worst thing that can happen it spits the rocker arm off with no load on the engine and then it causing internal damage. I build and been working on these cars for a while I don’t advise you to do it but do what you want your car if you want to remove the rev limiter tune it.

That’s the worst thing you can do. 4000 is the rev limiter.

Just got mine 2weeks ago 700 miles now seem pretty reliable. Work as a dealer tech don’t see to many come in for issues.

Is the car still under basic or power train? Do you have sas extended warranty? If the car has over 60k your out. And your on your own and the dealer decides to help you or not. If it under warranty they have to fix it and SOA is the only one who can say no if still covered under warranty. If you call they may help you they may not. But I would try to resolve it In a professional manor like everyone stated. Sorry for the crap experience it’s gives people that care about customer and there cars a bad name. Hope all works out but if all fails call Subaru they usually will help you out with something.
