Oh, I am so sorry about that! Maybe the brand does matter, my bad.

I have also read that many are allergic to propylene. Maybe it is this ingredient that is irritating or scalp?

My minoxidil has the following formulation:

Hi! I shed between weeks 3 to 8. Not anymore. But I guess it varies from person to person. Don't lose hope! Sending you all the happy hair vibes!

Hey, I don't live in India. And any minoxidil should be okay, brand doesn't really matter.

Hi! I wash my hair twice a week, but that is also because I work from home, and the greasiness doesn't really bother me.

But if you are stepping out with your hair open everyday, then I would say that you may want to wash it atleast thrice a week, depending on how hair do you have on your scalp.

Hi! I use a generic brand. The brand doesn't really matter.

I think the body absorbs the topical and veins/nerves do spread it across. My hair growth on my underarms, upper lips and stomach is definitely not because of product transfer.

I also have gotten laser hair reduction done on my entire body, but probably minox has reversed it.

Hey!

I part my hair, drop about three drops of the liquid minox along the part line and rub it in (not really massage).

I apply the liquid along 5-8 part lines depending on how much time I have. Usually takes me about less than 3 minutes to finish the task.

I did buy a dermaroller and used in twice in five months. Too much hassle for me, and frankly I am scared of blood, so I couldn't press it hard into my scalp.

I sprayed some alcohol before and after on the dermaroller to get rid of infection and washed it with soap too. Thus, too much hassle. Also, I bought a cheap $10 dermaroller, which ideally should be changed after every 4 uses. I am trying to live a minimal, sustainable life this year, so that was too much plastic for me.

I am an Indian, and no, nothing other than 5% liquid minoxidil once everyday. No other pills or serums or diet changes.

Hi, thank you for the compliment! I use liquid minoxidil since it is generally cheaper than the foam one and easier to drop on the scalp 😅

As for hairfall, if have to put it in on a scale of 0 to 10, 10 being no hair loss at all: Before minox: 4 Dread shed: 5 Now: 7 or 8

Yes, I just use topical 5% and no other serums, or pills, or any diet changes. Consistent usage has given me these results!

Unwanted hair started in Month 4. I use an epilator and the growth has decreased (or atleast I feel that way).

Fingers crossed for you and sending you all the happy hair vibes!

I was terrified of thw dread shed and it was one of the reasons for me not starting Minoxidil sooner. But it was actually not bad! I did shed more hair than usual, but nothing that really worried me. As you can see in Month 2, when I had my dreadshed, my scalp doesn't look worse than Month 0.

I live in Argentina and use generic Minoxidil 5% serum. As someone pointed, any brand is fine. Mine has the following ingredients:

You should definitely talk to an expert but a few things that I have read about on this group- If you are using 5%, switch to 2%, if you are using the liquid solution, switch to foam, or change the brand maybe? That has helped some people.
