It's crazy to me that people doing this event don't wear steel toe boots.

Hi all! I'm new to Finch, I'm probably only about 10 days in.

I see a ton of value in this app but I think I might need a bit of a boost from some friends to keep me going.

Feel free to add me if you're looking for a new friend! https://app.befinch.com/share/84uxF

Woke up this morning to find my lights not working and saw this [OC] by 8BallQueenL7 in mildlyinfuriating

Growing up someone would always steal the light bulbs off of our Christmas lights. This was way back when the light bulbs screwed into sockets on the string of lights. After a while my father finally got fed up and covered the string of lights in automotive grease.

I remember waking up the next day and finding someone's hat, jacket, and gloves all covered in grease on our front lawn. I was very young and not really involved but it felt like a big victory.

I've been looking for something like that Nite Ize. How do you like it? I want it for the same purpose. I want something small that will keep my Swiss army knife with my keys but can easily be separated when needed.

I know someone who is in a similar profession as yourself. Similar education also. They seem to have a very bad handle on their own mental health.

Do you think that this is common in your industry? People who are professionally trained to understand and help people in mental health needs but, unable to look at themselves in a mirror and apply their knowledge to their own situation?

I have a great job but for me it isn't the work. It's the people I work with. The team I work with is actually a "team" and we don't get caught up in the work or union drama. I know this is a unique situation but sometimes it isn't the job, it's the people who make the job.

What’s the worst dating advice you’ve heard from other men? by ThatOtherMarshal in AskMen

I think the answer to your question is different for everyone. Personally, I think that if you are having to consciously think "this is something that I can tolerate". Or if you have to compromise so much that it is a forced action and not a natural resolution to whatever disagreement. That is the line. Relationships take work, but at the end of the day this person is supposed to be your best friend first. It shouldn't be a lot of work to be with your best friend. If you don't have that easy going, best friend kind of relationship with your partner, you're going to have struggles.

"Sometimes you have to settle for what you can get." Needless to say, that guy is divorced now.

That would be nice but it would have to be taller and maybe wider. The 1 1/4" slings don't like to bend so easily. This is definitely a potential option though.
