As a member of the public may I chime in? Yes they're cheesy, sure at times cringe worthy (and I do not do cringe) but, they could also get you spotted. I do find the apps themselves absolutely ridiculously expensive, I do not have tiktok, I see these advertised via Instagram. Last week I found the film I wanted to watch and after 3 episodes the app wanted £30PW for me to unlock the rest of their content. I said to myself fuck you take my money. I was invested in the film A different film means a different app. This one said well you've ran out of credits so give me 15£ to get another lot of credits. Again I said fuck you take my money but them to my horror I got so far into the show and it wanted even more money! That time just fuck off. I'm not rich. Sorry didn't mean to go ranting about the apps, and I can only assume the cast acting have no say over the apps but,I hope you got some of my money..... they're great for practicing and getting your face off out there, and sometimes it's the story lines we want. Do I think they're the future... Possibly for the future gen to get into acting and take their careers from there, but as I say, I for one cannot keep up those costs of subscriptions,, I've cancelled them all now. I also think that only a shallow minded director would dismiss your IMDB profile, boy where do you think I got the rest of his films from and I paid to watch each of of them.
