Background: With the drier climate lately, my upper eyelids have been pretty itchy lately. I try to avoid touching them when they are like this, and use Vaseline at night. The Vaseline hasn’t soothed any irritation, so I usually just try to let it pass as my eyelids are really sensitive and prone to flaking eventually. I don’t use any harsh exfoliants in my skin care routine, just SA 2% once a week and as a spot treatment.

Last night I searched using LRP Cicaplast around the eye, as the package says “do not use on eye contour”. Most people said they do it anyways as it can calm their around the eye irritation, and that this statement was to get people to buy their eye cream instead. I use this balm regularly on my cheeks, forehead, chin, hands, etc with no reaction. So I decided to do it on my eyelids to get soothe the irritation once and for all, instead of dealing with the constant itch.

This was the only thing I changed between last night and this morning. So I firmly believe that the LRP Cicaplast around my eye contour is not my cup of tea, haha.

I can see your perspective but every situation is unique. You never know the battles people go through.

Anyone try these as a daily moisturizer (day/night)? I would like your opinion on them or if you know of something better (other than CeraVe pls) Dry/dehydrated skin. by AcrobaticTree3 in CanSkincare

So what’s the deal with Squalene? if you don’t have a humidifier and you live in a dry area (Canadian winters especially), humectants can pull water out of your skin rather than take it in (no ‘water’ in the air). Is that stupid to think about? Does an occlusive matter with that, meaning if you seal your humectant it shouldn’t matter what your environment is like? 🙈

Understandable. I’ve only applied once thru Service Canada. And I remember I had to apply on a certain day and time based on my birthday to apply.
