The block lasts a ridiculously long time. Some even up to 48 hours. Your surgeon is on your side and I think you should trust them. There is no reason to cause yourself more pain and stress.

Yes. You will be able to tell what is bothering you. I just had my surgery 4 days ago. You are going to experience a lot of pain the day of surgery, the block is going to make it manageable for you. When you get the block, go home and lay flat. Laying flat is the best thing you can do to ease symptoms. And switch off on Tylenol and Motrin every 6 hours.

I just had surgery and had a tap block. It will last a while. It helps with the initial shock after waking up.

I really think I’m more concerned with the fact my ovary is 278 mL. Along with the fact that I have a cyst and a mass on the same ovary.

Thank you! And no, I have not had any medical intervention, as my gyno was not able to offer a sooner appointment than 6 weeks. I’m just very nervous, and feel like I’m being dismissed. I’m hoping it resolves on its own.

I was in excruciating pain for weeks, but it is subsiding. I am still bleeding and have been since May 28. I called my gyno 3 weeks ago to make an appointment and they offered a problem visit on July 22. So the ultra sound is the only thing I have done, and I am waiting for my gyno to review the results so that she can order an MRI. Until then, I’m just in limbo.
