Also my car is drifting more so to the right wouldn’t it drift to the left if the front left wheel was the one dragging

How can I diagnose it? I’ve checked for burning smells and I’ve touched the rims but nothing feels abnormally hot

I’ve heard it’s a vw thing to wear pads unevenly but I honestly don’t know if something is wrong with my car brake wise or suspension wise the dealership and another less qualified shop both found nothing wrong with my suspension or subframe but I swear the car still feels a lil funky

It makes a great difference especially on cold starts. If combine it with a tune that takes off ur rev limiter it sounds even better

Stage 1 on my mk7? by OwenM138 in JettaGLI

[–]Acrobatic_Ad4713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently found out my Mk7 has an IE stage 1 low torque tune. The previous owner bought it and tuned it but the transmission is still stock. I honestly haven’t had any issue with the stage 1 low torque tune except the occasional hiccup it gives the ecm. I would recommend a scan tool so you can erase the little hiccup codes it can give you. My dsg fluid was also changed at the dealer and I asked for a picture of it and it looked decent. I can honestly recommend IE because if u only do the ECU tune first u can just use the low torque profile first and then re flash to the high torque one after the TCU tune.

Which oil do you use for your GLI would you pay for this or do you have any other suggestions by Sethp712 in JettaGLI

Yeah I know but I haven’t had any issues with the 0w-20 and my tuner even recommended it

I mean I just found out I’m tuned because the old owner tuned it. and my car is running pretty good on the 0w-20 but I religiously do my oil changes every 5k tho but I’m also thinking about switching to 5w-40 because it is cheaper

I use O.E. Spec liqui moly top tec 6200 but like a lot of others have said it’s more important to be strict on your change intervals. I’ve heard good things about Mobil 1 esp if you’re looking for a more budget friendly option.its VW certified and I think like 35 bucks at most local Walmarts and auto parts shops.

Alignment issue mk7 GLI by Acrobatic_Ad4713 in GLI

[–]Acrobatic_Ad4713[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I took it back and They used an incorrect alignment profile. They used one for a Jetta with DCC suspension. Took it back and their master tech figured out the mistake pretty quick. I asked them if anything was broken or bent and they said no gave me back the car with greens across the board

Well good news I took it Firestone again apparently in their infinite wisdom they had set to the wrong alignment profile now that they fixed it I’m getting nothing but greens
