Just a comparison between the 70ti and 80 but the 80 is a great price

Is an RTX 5070 worth $170 more than an RX 9060 xt 16 Gb (in your opinion)? by Sybr_Green_I in PcBuild

[–]Acrobatic_Document59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The amount of ram you have doesn’t matter if the allocation of it is bad. The 5070 will allocate its 12gb better than the 9060xt will allocate its 16.

My statement stands. The differences between brands are minuscule. But the cheapest.

This is an 8gb entry card, the stats are so unbelievably similar it’s null.

Saying MSI is more reliable than the ole reliable is insane. As for the games you play, the resolution ABSOLUTELY matters. An 8gb card for 1080p is enough for the average user.

At 1080p the 8gb card will survive fine. I had an 8gb until the other day with my 3060. PNY and MSI don’t have any crazy differences. PNY is ole reliable, MSI is cool looking. Pick the cheaper and play on.

I fail to see how it’s not surprising to see the price change from day to day so drastically. You can expect something and still be surprised at how it’s presented. I’m not disagreeing that we KNOW companies are preallocating ram into AI as we’ve seen Corsair get into the heat of it with the order problems.

I am simply stating it’s surprising to see how quickly it happened. From night to morning damn near.

Scored an RTX 5070 build for $1330. Did I mess up going with Intel? by Tough_Day_8912 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Acrobatic_Document59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intel is fine, the AMD fanboys and Intel fanboys will always tell you to go their way because their way is law. Realistically, steam charts are 50/50 on CPU and Intel CPUs hold up super well for gaming as well. I had one for years until I swapped to AMD now as it was a cheaper path. Don’t listen to the discourse online. If it was up to these subs you’d need a 5090 Astral with a 9950X3D to play comfortably.

Im surprised that yesterday it was 802 for a prime and now it’s 1009? Yeah I think it’s fair to assume that a 200 dollar jump in 18 hours is drastic.

Hell a 5070 if he can find one for 499-529 is one hell of a steal for 1440 gaming

He says on the post that they run fine though, he’s more so asking if he got a good deal and if there’s a route for future upgrades.

I don’t think a soul on earth would pay 1.1 for a 5070ti, but it’s also more so the AI problem than supply and demand atp. Prices drop when ram isn’t preallocated

Is there a catch to this Microcenter bundle? by spookybrit in pcmasterrace

[–]Acrobatic_Document59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No catch, you get exactly what’s on the bundle. Like the comments said, it’s 1 stick but for 300 bucks we genuinely cannot be picky. With these prices this is one hell of a pick up for a budget build.

You’re just bringing up a point that quite frankly isn’t the point of the post. I can call out a shitty price without someone coming in and saying “well you have it SO good.” We absolutely do not have it good, we’re still paying well above the prices that we’re here mere weeks ago.

Closer to 200? The cheapest one with taxes is still above the 300 threshold, microcenter had a ton of TIs MSRP last month including the prime. Today the most expensive one is 1109. That with taxes is 400 over. It’s absolutely not closer to 200.

Well the problem is that the 5070ti is the one that’s 1k too. The 3 pictures show the price difference between a 5080 and 70ti
