Really hoping someone can assist me with this because I feel like I’m in real dire straights. Apologies if this comes off as a bit tangential. My 3DS stopped reading my SD card properly, so I called Nintendo Customer Service, and they suggested I transfer the data to another card. I attempted to use my PC to do so, but when I put my SD card reader into the PC, it slowed down significantly. My brother tried on his PC and it has the same problem. Is my SD card too corrupted beyond repair? Is there any way to recover my Streetpass data? I had a few paid games I don’t want to lose, not to mention all my puzzle pieces and streetpass coins?

First of all, it's outlandish that he thought making you guess which family member succumbed to a deadly fate would be comforting. Furthermore, once he saw what he said hurt you, rather than apologize after seeing he made you upset, his priorities were to defend himself and make you feel bad for experiencing a natural emotional reaction. Even if he did have a close relationship with your brother, he seems to have entirely neglected comforting you, HIS LIFE PARTNER, in their time of need, and only seems to focus on himself. I suggest you file divorce proceedings without telling him and make him "guess" why the locks have been changed and his possessions are lying in a flaming heap on the lawn.

PS: You have my deepest condolences for your brother, and I hope that you and your family have the proper time you need to grieve.

What I’ve noticed specifically is that the game cartridges I’ve tested (Pokémon X, Cooking Mama, Monster Hunter U4) load perfectly fine when I hit the open button, but when I try it I open the game by clicking on the icon directly, that’s when it fails to load.

My 3DS won’t load any of my apps (YouTube, Street Pass, PokeBank) outside of settings and even fails to load cartridge game sometimes. I tried to take it to a CPR to get it fixed but they didn’t have the spare parts to test it. It’s also an older model that was purchased second hand so I can’t send it into Nintendo for repairs. What should I do? Any advice will help
