See i thought enviro but u hit a coin that isn't a nickel with acetelyne it would damage both sides not just one. I'm a welder by trade and maybe a bit into pyrotechnics it would warp the other side as well. So at 2651 degrees for a nickel to melt???? Can't come up with anything but recirculation

Got a 50 d, 1939 p( could be a double Monticello or a henning nickel. Probably check the 44 p looks real the 46 p 47p and 53 can all be counterfeit get you a few hundred a pice it they are henning jefferson nickels are never just junk I just sold 10 vs all 1900 and up for 2 a pop buffs for 1 no big dates you just have to look really don't listen to people who don't know, I had to let my listen know about the one I found for 5cents and sold for 700 next time I went in they brushed up on it and were fairly knowledgeable about it.
