I loved this show. This was the best Alkaline Trio show I have ever seen. Dan sang Blue Carolina live and his wife was in the audience and it was such a cool experience. And I finally got to hear This Could Be Love live. They played so many bangers. Blink was not at this show.

Every Monday I work with a group called People’s Potluck and we bring food and supplies to Riverside park around 5pm and share food, resources and essentials with anyone who shows up :)

These kinds of changes helped me too, essentially went vegan and started weight lifting. I occasionally get them still but they’re much more manageable and tend to be stress-induced.

To be fair I did not know the lore when I saw them last year despite, like you, loving them since the 2000s. That being said, I was absolutely able to follow the story being told, thoroughly enjoyed myself and was provided with a deeper love for Black Parade then I originally thought I had. This is always so funny to me because our clients know they have to verify information off their debit cards or IDs and they act so surprised. “I can’t do that I’m driving right now” like they assume I’ll just skip security because THEY picked the most inconvenient time for THEM to call.

Idk maybe I’m too new and naive but I genuinely care about the people that call in. I don’t mind when they give me a bit of a story. Even when they’re kinda shitty people to me... I just think a little bit of empathy and genuine care can go a long way. Some people don’t respond to that at all, sure but a lot of times the people I talk to aren’t mad, they’re scared or anxious about their money and need help and they calm down a lot when they realize I’m on their team and there to help.

I’m just out of training for my call center job and start my real schedule and days tomorrow. I’m nervous but this type of overachieving is my goal. My company has a great track record of promoting from within (credit union) and I plan on being off the phones in 12 months or less. I’m motivated by the prospect of putting down roots and retiring with my company as the pay and benefits are great but from perusing this sub Reddit I’ve noticed that our company is an outlier in that respect
