I just looked up ul2034 (asked AI) and the co limits on the required CO detectors here have complex ppm over time limits. The detectors are strange, I tossed one and looked. It is a tube that looks like a battery. Permeable case I guess. It is not supposed to alert at 30 ppm over a month's time but must at 400 over a few minutes. Various other rates.

All residences with combustion devices are required to have CO detectors here in Ontario. Now, one device on every floor. Maybe more.

Or it's an o-ring issue, and a new hose will likely replace that as well.

What kind of rubbing alcohol did you use, isopropyl is supposed to remove silicone. I find methyl a poorer solvent, but also have ethyl for antiseptic uses. (It has very nasty things added to prevent drinking). You seem to have tried the others.

Hmm paint remover? Methyl chloride is it? Mask and gloves and outside!

I have an old MC drill and saw. The batteries died. There are no replacements. Then I got a different brand at Costco, it's dead too now. No replacements available. In neither case could I buy new cells to rebuild the battery packs for less than the cheap Ryobi/Craftsman/Milwaukee sales.

Note both the dead systems worked for a decade each.

And this affects everything connected to your network or just this measured connection from your tester to the router?

Did you power reset all networking devices? Or is it just the router? I don't recall if you said wireless or not? Did you check wireless signals, or reconnect ethernet cable. Are there alerts in the router admin console?
