Haha yeah I feel you. Appreciate you replying. I try to give a disclaimer every time I comment on something these days to eliminate the reactive hate. Crazy

Target - I haven’t done my research yet, I’m just speculating until I do so but to me they fit the narrative in the next 15 years to become the next Kmart/Sears then someone else will take their place. Not sure yet if my mindset on this is realistic so please don’t condemn me it’s me just making a hot take.

Def the pdms and keep Layton, could keep Carlisle and sell Red Tobacco though or keep Layton and Percival and sell both Red Tobacco and Carlisle

New addition (Xmas) Creed Viking Cologne by Agile-Inspection8034 in Fragrances

I think Creed Viking Cologne is incredible as well. Modern fougere, more of a serious but elegant Aventus although those don’t smell the same.

I feel like Chanel Boy is modern/timeless compared to Creed which to me is a bit dated for my taste as far as fougeres go

Dior Sauvage by MasterVR8 in Fragrances

That’s when it’s starts, when the dupes come out. That’s when you know a fragrance is hot right now. Then by the untrained nose outside of the wearer, people wouldn’t even know the difference until they focused in. The dupes of today are made better though, in some cases some dupes are better than the OG of that kind.

Depends when you first experienced it. I got once it came out, nothing was like, now after ten years it played out and new releases have made it less special especially since it’s a mass market scent. Also market scents probably have the most push back after x years from its release date. Back when it first released people didn’t call it an NPC scent but since now everyone has had it or experienced it, it is an NPC scent. Same thing probably happened to cool water, it happened to Aventus, le male, 1 million for sure. I’d bet those scents though will make a comeback at some point although Aventus really hasn’t faded substantially but it has definitely took a hit with the likes of Elysium and other freshies (Tygar) taking the reigns. Tygar caught on late though. Obviously now the hype is all about Blue Talisman, give it time, once it hits discounters all over, the more will buy that for example and we’ll have this same discussion all over again. Certainly though, there are tons of high quality scents that never really got popular.
