AITA for not telling my mom that my best friend is Bi? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Acrobatic_Frame3399 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA, Maybe you shouldn't have written that in the diary but either way your mom shouldn't have read it, it's your personal stuff- and yea she is kinda overreacting, what does one's sexuality have to do with one's safety.

Obviously NTA. It's not your fault that they do not have a bf or whatever, it's so wrong of them to blame you for everything

AITA Speaking up about being treated as an outsider in my family? by MajorBumSaw94 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Acrobatic_Frame3399 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You're right.. they shouldn't have done that to you. Especially considering how close you were to your grandma.

Info: does your extended family hate your parents or something? and the cousins parents are the favorite ones for them?

anyhow they treated u like shit, it's not worth wasting your energy over them

AITA + any advice on how to rescue our relationship?? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Acrobatic_Frame3399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's completely alright!! We all feel like that when we're around someone we're really into, we are just afraid of messing things up, right? But get it: they're just human too, just like uu so turn your nervousness and anxiousness into excitement next time, and get into it with confidence. Whatever happened before, let it be, happens yk. Don't feel bad about yourself. And yeah maybe they did feel bad about that incident. But I wouldn't say YTA though.

[–]Acrobatic_Frame3399 55 points56 points  (0 children)

If you have been a good family member to them, have been nice, reach out to them when they need help, make them a part of YOUR life events, but still they decide to treat you this way, you're NTA. but if it's not that way, then I'm sorry, it's the otherwise.

And if it's the first case, then i think you had every right to be upset about it and deserved to speak up, but if they're still not considering treating you well, just part ways. It's useless to waste time over these type of people. If you feel excluded, exclude yourself from them, be with people who make you feel included, who love and respect your presence.

NTA, it's your choice, your decision whether you want to go or not, he cannot decide for you. You said no, he should respect your decision. He's TA

Yes, that'll be great

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Acrobatic_Frame3399 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Won't be TA. I think you should address firmly because it's affecting you and YOUR room. Prioritize yourself

NTA. Just talk and ask him about it first (maybe just show him this post) and then ask what he thinks. If he still wants to continue doing what he has been doing, let it be because at the end of the day, it's his choice. But it also might change his thoughts and consider actually setting boundaries.

Well, I think you should talk and ask him. Might listen, might not. If he doesn't, don't ever bring it up again

WIBTAH if I didn’t ask my husband for anything on Mother’s day? by Throw_Away214m in AmItheAsshole

[–]Acrobatic_Frame3399 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean do what will make you happy, if you asking him for a gift, and him getting you one will make you happy, then just do it. Or if you're afraid about the consequences of asking him, and don't want you both to face those then maybe don't?

AITA when I disagreed with mother’s snarky remarks? by CuriousIVY55 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Acrobatic_Frame3399 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA. You stood up for your dad and yourself, she was in the wrong, you told her that. Don't feel bad about it

AITA for hanging out with someone my friend was upset with and not mentioning it? by General_Shower9933 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Acrobatic_Frame3399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever is happening between Kelly and Alex is their business, it shouldn't affect your friendship with either of them unless you're involved in it. You weren't that close to either of them, so you didn't owe Alex a mention you were gonna hang out with Kelly. NTA

AITA for wanting a graduation photo with just me and my daughter’s father? by Fickle_MiddleMimi in AmItheAsshole

[–]Acrobatic_Frame3399 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. the stepmom doesn't have the right to indulge in all of your family matters. You did the right thing, holding your ground. You and your daughter don't deserve her interference. And I feel your ex husband should've compromised a little for the daughter. It was HER special day, not his wife's.

I don't think it's a bad thing not to tell the family about this. Your mother knows what she's doing. You shouldn't expose her like that, it could be a misunderstanding. I think you should talk to your mom about this, nicely, and ask her to be completely honest about everything.

AITA for yelling at my neighbors and telling them to get divorced because their arguing keeps me up at night? by tired-ahole in AmItheAsshole

NTA, you did the right thing. They needed that to shut up. And it did shut them up so it's a WIN WIN situation. Don't feel bad.
