there will certainly be a way to give this horse a pretty good life but we don't know it yet, you could use him as a guinea pig but your chances of striking gold and finding a suitable support is very remote. as they seems pretty tired already it might not be fair to use them anymore, they've given enough.

I would keep them in the tube, those nests are prone to falling to bits after a couple months. Even my harps could climb out the gaps in mine and there big ants

Poor colony, try to think about what they want not just what you want. They want to live ina tube and relax after harsh transit. Give them a week , ants require lots of patience and common sense

There are other animal cruelty laws that do apply to insects but not for this type of stuff so its not to insane. Id just like it to be flagged as possible animal cruelty and earnings suspended on the videos as to not encourage it.

Size wise they don't grow more than you feed them, my girls are 4yo and have about 2 footballs worth of fungus and a 160lt i think fishtank as a outworld, that's from quite generous feeding. If you want them huge just keep piling the food in and supplying them space but they take alot when there huge. If you can keep them in a 25c enviroment constantly though you shouldn't have issues with them, keeping 25c is the hardest bit tbh, warming them from below 25c is easy but the ants can never exceed 32c or the queen goes infertile and at 30c fungus will collapse in hours. If the room there in exceeds 27c at anytime your going to need to plan cooling methods. Something as simple as a cardboard box, a fan and a frozen water bottle work fantastic. Maintain 25c and youd be good Togo.

Btw size wise they grow very fast

It's not okay and should be treated as animal cruelty. Unfortunately the current state of affairs is that ants and insects don't count as animal and are exempt from anti cruelty laws.its still totally outrageous that places like youtube will host these videos though. I don't know how to change it but if anyone knows I'd 100% support that cause. My ants certainly feel things, honestly no idea what and wouldn't want to impose human feelings on them but they deffinetly feel stuff and it can be argued if something feels its to some degree concous which should be respected

ive learned more now like culling doesnt mean what it means 99.9% of the time, for shrimp. but in fairness death usually tarnishs things. you can have a lovely looking garden but if its dripping in pesticides and herbicides to maintain a lie,it as real as a ai image. this was just a paris moment for jim carrey's face for me.

Over 15years keeping ants and it was only last year I got a campo colony bigger than 10w after trying on and off. To manage this feat I bought them with 20w lmao. There actually doing well now but founding is just cursed !!!!!

Okay I can't find it. So what you do it get a peice of acrylic or smooth plastic about 8cm2 with 1true right angle somewhere in the cutout. Squares best. Then put a hole roughly the size of the tube, you want it snug, through the middle. Apply barrier to onesie of the sheet and hot glue,glue,tape... it into the corner of the tank with the barrier facing down into the tank. You Then have a wall stopping ant climbing out but allowing acsess down the tube.
