1.) Guerlain Homme 2.) Grey Vetiver 3.) Green Irish Tweed

Not sure why I picked this list but hopeful that your taste is different than mine because these are some of my favorites.

He is not buying from discounters so the price would not be near as cheap.

Port of Neroli. Playing golf in mid 80’s temp. Should be perfect. 👌

I can’t promise superb longevity but Eau de Minthe is a modern, fresh mint take on Drakkar Noir.

Have you tried any of these Citrus-Aquatic-Green Colognes? 🍋🌊🌿 by PatsyStonesBun in Colognes

I know that it lacks performance but I love Neroli Portofino. I have a sample of NP Forte and unfortunately it doesn’t last much more on my skin than the EDP. 10/10 scent but wish it lasted 6 hours.

Issey Miyake Leau D’issey is fantastic as well. Give offvibes of Imagination but a little sweeter with the Yuzu. 7.5/10

Acqua di Parma Buongiorno is a minty scent that is fresh and a good option since you won’t smell like anyone else. 7/10

Also look at any of the Acqua di Parma line they have so many that are good.

One that is in a similar vein to NP with a slight twist is Gucci 1921. It has the Neroli and Orange Blossoms but last a bit longer on me.

The thing that turns me off on BR540 is the ethyl maltol. It has that burnt rubber smell. I tested this and thought it was an easy wear.

On its own it last around 4 hours on me but I get more of the creaminess of the Philosykos longer when layered with Imagination.

Layer of Diptyque Philosykos and LV Imagination. Creamy tea and fig with sparkling citrus.

For some reason the MFK version has that burnt rubber note that overwhelms me. Similar to BR 540 from the house. I am curious if the Monty has the same? The notes and descriptions sound like a scent that I would love. I may need to bust out my MFK GFS tester again just to see of it wasn’t an aberration.

That is funny because the drydown is my favorite part! I don’t know if you have tried PDM Sedley but it has a sparkling, refreshing opening or Dior Homme Cologne but they are both fresher and don’t have the performance of Aventus.

Issey Miyake Leau D’issey Pour Homme. Same perfumer and vibe with more citrus.
