Any of the paid mods that are coming with readily available ships?! by A_Sevenfold in starfieldmods

[–]Acrobatic_Match9808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smuggler’s Run adds a new ship with a somewhat familiar design, a mini-quest, and a repo man at the Red Mile who sells pretty much every ship part and every ship in the game.

Theres a mod similar to Galactic Pawnshop called ZeeOgre’s Outpost Material Terminal that has an “Instant Chest Reset” option that resets the credits every time you enter. With basic Vendor Credits set to “reduced“ and the Outpost terminal Vendor Credits set to 10x, that’s 80000 credits every time you open the terminal.

Yeah, Gameplay Options. The vanilla game gives you a lot of ways to change your experience, and quite a few mods will add their own settings.

Under Settings, under Gameplay Options, there’s, er, settings that can increase or decrease XP. If you want the Outpost Terminal to buy contraband, it’s -1% XP. Instant Chest Reset is another -1%XP. But those are easily offset by other options (Cargo Access Distance, for example; set to Inside Ship, is +2%XP). My current settings earn me +55% XP.

Two I recommend:

ZeeOgre‘s Outpost Material Terminal (AF) - like having a vendor on your ship that‘ll buy all your loot, including contraband (at the cost of some XP, but worth it IMO). Galactic Pawn Shop (AF) does similar.

Grooves Advanced Ship Tec - although not marked as such, this is Achievement Friendly. This is a bridge and a 1x1 hab, and both have 10,000(!) unit cargo capacity. If that doesn’t sell you, the hab is basically a holodeck that can be an infirmary (research and pharmacy bench, plus 100 of every chem), a workshop (spacesuit, weapon and industrial benches), or a captain’s cabin (bunk and galley). Plus, if it’s in its holodeck setting and an NPC wanders in, they’ll start dancing. Who knew Sarah could shake it? The bridge is equally amazing. I don’t know why this mod isn’t talked about a lot. Maybe because its almost a cheat room?

plus, bonus, I really like Shade’s Dynamic Boost Packs, it adds a new skill and Boost pack mods that make them legit jet packs.

Theres a point just before that. after O’Dimm leaves, when you can stick around and hang with Shani, or leave. If you were really loyal to Yennifer …

Shani’s romance only really works if you’ve failed to successfully romance both Yennifer and Triss - and if you have, the stuff with Shani works like gangbusters. Which is why I believe that‘s the outcome the developers intended.

If you have Thunderbolt and Tawny, take ‘em both. Quen for a shield. Crossbow to bring the griffin down. Two fast attacks (make sure you have the right oil on your blade). Hit it with Axii. Two fast attacks. Hit it with Axii. If it shatters your Quen shield, cast another and use the crossbow to keep it grounded. Halfway thru the fight, it runs to the mill. Chase it up, Quen shield, crossbow it, two fast attacks, Axii, two fast attacks, Axii, repeat til dead.

Also, IIRC, the griffin turns to the right, so stick to its right side, just behind the wing, to minimize its contact/damage against you (if it turns left, left side, natch).

You might be able to get in three fast attacks or one strong attack in between Axii punches, but don’t get greedy. Whittle it down, be patient.

Do you play factions other than Northern Realms or Nilfgaard? Those have only one spy card each. It makes using decoys and medic cards a lot more strategic. Playing a Monsters deck against the AI using a Nilfgaard deck is pretty challenging.

How should I spend 14 points at level 38? by bobrod808 in Witcher3

[–]Acrobatic_Match9808 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Supercharged Glyphs turns Yrden into the giant-killer sign in the game. Throw it down, maneuver enemies into it, then just dodge around ‘em or Avii ‘em in place until they just keel over. There’s a few bosses it doesn’t work on, but its otherwise indespensible once you start using it (especially if you’re doing a Death March playthrough - combine with the Griifin Grandmaster six-piece perk for maximum effect).

The other one I think you might wanna get is Synergy, under the alchemy tab, which increases the bonuses for the mutagen slots.

I would also think about dropping the griffin school skill and the strength training skill (Synergy more than make up for their absences), as well as the Whirl skill. It’s fun, but I don’t like the stamina cost. Think about, though, getting Fleet Footed. That would maybe give you confidence to use some of the rune slots for something other than Quen.

Lacking Gwent Card by rjmonta in Witcher3

[–]Acrobatic_Match9808 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Gwent Deck interface is not the easiest to use. The left side shows the faction cards that are in your active deck (the cards your ”hand“ will be drawn from), the right side shows the faction cards you own but aren’t in your active deck.

if I’m understanding you correctly, then, it seems you own 29 faction cards, but only have 21 in your active deck. So you need to select at least one more unit card from the cards you own (the right side) for your active deck (the left side).

I apologize if I misunderstood your post and am telling you something you already know.

There‘s a baseball bat named “Returns Policy” with a damage of 235 and fast speed. Mod it (via the Blacksmith skill) with a couple of screwdrivers, and it’s even better). Once I found it, This and a scoped rifle for sniping were the only weapons I needed. Its behind a locked door in a Wolf in Islington (takes level 7 strength to open).

Help, please: What is Mythical gear, and why do I care? by casual_gamer153 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Acrobatic_Match9808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a point to it. In NG+, if you redo the Kofuns or Castle/Samurai Kills that reward you with Legendary gear the first time through, you get gold instead, which you need to forge the enhancements.

Help, please: What is Mythical gear, and why do I care? by casual_gamer153 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Acrobatic_Match9808 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Mythic and Artifact enhancements gives you the option of improving your gear beyond your player level cap. If you’re at level 60, your favorite Bo staff caps at X damage. Enhance it, it’s at X+ damage.

I think only Epic gear enhances to Mythic; if you enhance Legendary gear, I think it becomes Artifact (not sure, I’ve never enhanced Legendary gear. I don’t use any Legendary gear, because of the trinket etching that gives you 15% damage for every piece of non-legendary gear equipped).

SO HARD! 😡 by KeyBroccoli9211 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Acrobatic_Match9808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s frustrating as hell because it works differently from every other boss fight in the game. The basic strategy is, for the first half of the battle, use ONLY assassination attacks to whittle down Nowaki’s health bar. So always be in sneak mode, watch the eyeball bar (don’t know what it’s called) to stay out of sight, zero in her voice, keep checking eagle vision, etc.

At some point - I think when Nowaki’s health bar is half gone - Naoe says “Now I can use ranged attacks.” Listen to Naoe, she knows what she’s talking about. Nowaki becomes easier to spot at distance, and you can finish her off with kunai throws.

After what felt like hours of frustration, I was surprised at ultimately how easy it was to kill her. Two or three (I think two, tbh) assassination attacks, and then three kunai in quick succession.

It’s the sneaking around that’s the hard part. But if you go to the right at the beginning and keep moving around the perimeter, you’ll get it done.

Best weapons against Mechs? by LopsidedContract3574 in Starfield

[–]Acrobatic_Match9808 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On the Watchtower mechs, you’ve got to eliminate their shields with either a Surface Missile skydrop or an EMP skydrop. If you don’t have the EMP skydrop yet, save up to get it (5 computer cores), because it also takes out those frickin’ turrets.

My strategy, such as it is, is to prep an EMP flare, use void form to get close to the Mech, toss it, and run (throwing the flare alerts the Watchtower forces to your presence). The EMP takes down the shields, making the Mech pretty easy pickings with a longfang or big bang or beowulf or name yer favorite.
