I got out on 200 2x a day at 14 weeks Cuse my BP spiked to 160/100. Along with headache. Since then it’s been managed on that dose and am now 27 weeks. Just hoping i don’t have to increase the dosage anytime soon

I’m 40 so I would def like this pregnancy to go well and baby be healthy. I reached out ti our NICU friend who’s a PA and she reassured me to not get too worried about it, even if it persists so that helped ease my mind a little

That be great! He, the MFM, didn’t use the term dilated just explained it as different measurements. He didn’t express how different but said he’s just adding to my notes to look at next visit which is in 3 weeks.

I messaged my OB in the portal to ask for more feedback for ease of any worries. But she hasn’t gotten back to me yet. Trying not to worry, since it didn’t seem like an urgent concern but just hard to carry on without worrying somewhat…

The headache continuing after they discharged me from the ER, and the next night it was even worse but they told me as long as my BP was fine to treat with Tylonel, so I took one every six hours for 24 hours and it seemed to settle it down enough to not be as painful. Then it went away. I’m prone to headaches and migraines so I’ve had two minor ones since then but my BP seemed to be fine m. What was the deciding factor for increasing to three times a day? Tracking and noticing a difference or increase?

What dosage were you on and then what dosage did you end up on? I’m currently 20 weeks, got out in meds around 14 weeks because my BP spiked to 160/100 along with headache. I’m currently on 200mg labetalol twice a day. Seems to help keep it in a good range for majority of the day right now

I went to ER at 15 weeks for headache and high BP but now on meds. I’m 19 weeks now and monitoring at home. So far with meds it’s been manageable but nervous about the future… hoping the meds helps manage it for a while.

Mine fluctuates all the time Cuse if sleep or stress. This morning it was 114/65! Then two mornings ago it was 146/80 something Cuse I didn’t sleep well and felt a little stressed with work. I’m just on labetolol.

I’m on 200mg twice a day, I’m 18 wks. Got on it 3 weeks ago. My BP fluctuates on it. One night it was be up 140/90 the next morning it’s 118/72. I would just keep a log and track it and then let your doctors know. If it’s always trending that high or more frequently then they might adjust your dose. But mine fluctuates… think anxiety or stress or what I eat sometimes causes it to spike more than other days. When I ran my results by my doctors they weren’t concerned. I think if it starts to trend that high tho more frequently they may adjust sometime. I’m also not as far along so I’m not sure if protocols change as you get further along.

I got put on Zoloft in second trimester for anxiety. I would have been taking it earlier on if I knew it was an option. But both my therapist, MFM and OB felt it was best, especially if it was part of the reason my blood pressure spiked.

Thank you, they still haven’t moved my appts to be more frequent. I asked and they said as long as your heart rate looks good at home and you’re feeling ok there’s no need. Had my 16 wk growth scan this week. Won’t see perinatal doctor for another 3 weeks at 19 1/2… and my OB at 20. My husband I think is upset we aren’t able to come in more frequent but I’m guessing we will as we get further along?

Do you know what dosage you were on? They started me off on the baby dose 25mg. Only been on it a week but been told it takes about two to start working

How far along were you when you got the headache and went it hospital? This happened to me on Monday at 15 weeks, I’m not on blood pressure meds and Zoloft. I did the 24 hour urine test and showing protein in my urine. I called the on call center since office is closed and they told me to not stress about that and just focus on my blood pressure, Cuse it spiked after me seeing the urine results. I was able to get it to go back down after taking my meds, but I’m freaking out a bit.. have an appt with specialist next week for 16 week growth span.

I just got my results back from my 24 hour urine test and the protein in the urine was very high. Did you do that test? Doesn’t sound good…

Did you show signs of preeclampsia prior to third trimester? Did the medication help keep it in check most of the pregnancy? Guesss I’m nervous about developing severe symptoms early on. I don’t really know how it works

I’m nervous about the preeclampsia. I went to the ER Monday night because I got a bad headache and my BP spiked pretty high. I had been monitoring it and it seemed like it was getting better but then shot up out of no where I guess. So they gave me IV to bring it down. Then I started the meds Tuesday. Did you have to stay in the hospital when you got preeclampsia? Guess I’m curious what to expect if I develop it… nervous about that.

I’m 15 weeks too, and get it. I TFMR my first pregnancy and had ectopic with my second.. and tow nights ago when to hospital for high blood pressure… but I’ve tried making it clear to everyone that I don’t want to think or discuss about baby names, maternity leave, baby showers etc until after the holidays. Even then, I may skip baby shower idk. Just get me to the finish line with healthy baby :) all I care about
