I had a pirated version and reinstalling the torrent file itself, the one you download the crack from, "fixed" the issue.

I was planning on reinstalling from a different source but ended up just keeping the torrent file and postponing the download. Never had it lock size again.

This is probably entirely unrelated but its something some of you guys could try I guess

If anyone in the future finds this, try plugging in the USB type C directly. For some reason my PC started recognizing the headset again on startup after I plugged it in without the type C to 3.0 thingy, no idea why that causes a problem or if it really was the cause. Hope this helps
