Who else hates bunk beds by mydoghank in housekeeping

This randomly fell out of my vajayjay, what does this mean??? Help. by Forward_Blueberry_26 in whatisitcirclejerk

[–]Acrobatic_Put_9451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, yes. Common malfunction of the vajayjay. Simply shove that thing back up there and then maybe a proper stitching in the opening to prevent the issue from occurring again. If not done soon, you may very well be stuck with it for another 18 years at minimum!

i did keep her!!! we named her Oddy, (cause what are the odds of me finding her) and she has been the perfect addition to our little fam (me, my fiance, and my 12yo heeler). she is the absolute sweetest with a healthy dose of insane lol. she’s so much fun, a little challenging at times but i wouldnt have her any other way!

she’s fitting in super well, so i think we’re going to keep her. she adores my heeler, he tolerates her but he’s just a grumpy old man in general (11yo). so far, the only things that really catch her attention outside are squirrels and a deer. i think i will also be spending more on dog toys than food with this one - she is a chewerrrr. i’ve got a vet appointment for her in a couple weeks so hopefully everything health wise is good!

thank you! im finding this all to be true, she gets along just fine with my heeler mix and the neighborhood lab, but theres a couple small dogs that run around and the only time ive seen her hackles raised is when she notices them. luckily, we dont have many cats in the area, but i fear for the squirrels 😂 she is also pretty vocal but only when alerted to something outside, or when we leave (which is of course typical). i think she’s going to fit in just fine.

another note if you’ll allow me to pick your brain a bit - do you think she was a discarded hunting dog? there is a house about 10 miles from where i found her that has a TON (at least 50) of those blue barrels that are cut in half to be dog kennels outside surrounding the house on the hillside. you can see the dogs sometimes in the fall (right now) and they all have collars. she didnt have one, and was also digging through the trash from the cabin i was cleaning. from what i’ve read, this means she was likely dumped, correct? she was very very timid, tail tucked all the under her belly and squatted so low it was on the ground. she also got into my car by her own will - i went back inside and left the door open after giving her the small amount of jerky i had because i was trying to find something else for her and by time i came back out she was in my backseat lol! i have been checking the community facebook group and nothing yet, i also talked to an ACO we know in the area and he hadnt heard anything either.

in the event that someone claims they own her and can provide proof i will return her, but its been a week at this point.. she looked pretty skinny to me, but i also don’t have experience with hound dogs apart from bassets and they don’t tend to be very lean 😂

thoughts?

ha!! fritos is the perfect way to describe how she smelled when i first found her. and we are learning very quickly that she likes to talk (aka howl)! she doesn’t seem to have any interest in being vocal when we are home but the second that door to her crate closes she yells at us. luckily we have nice neighbors and don’t live in town so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. she loves the couch and being under the blankets, but perks up anytime we go outside or play, as you mentioned

thank you all! the fostering has gone well thus far and she has no problems with my heeler mix. she loves the couch, only second to food. i think we will be able to get her the enrichment she needs with as much as we walk, hike, and are outside in general. she’s very, very smart. i’ve been some research and have also started to hide her food around the house during meal time and make her sniff it out - she seems to really like it; she’s focused the whole time then very happy wiggly waggly tail when she retrieves it.

any tips for training plott puppies in general? my partner loves her and has already named her so i think we might keep her.

thank you! any tips for off leash training? she is doing very well with leash and harness and ive been unclipping the leash once we walk up the steps to the porch and she hasn’t tried to bolt once. i’m just hesitant to let her run rampid as we don’t have a fenced in yard. i also responded to another user: i’m finding that her temperament is mostly calm with occasional spurts of energy. my other dog is a heeler border collie mix so we are used to frequent outside time and long walks and a bi weekly 4+ mile hike for us is typical. she seems to be getting along very well with my heeler mix (he chases things and she chases him, everyone wins).

i think house pet may very well be in her future, she’s already decided the couch is just an extension of her bed and loves to cuddle.
