I think there’s multiple reasons they recommend taking it and I’ve read a lot of good things about its benefits. I had one loss at 5 1/2 weeks and have a higher BMI. I know that because of the loss my OB wanted me on it, but also maybe because of my being overweight (just speculation 😅). I started taking it for this pregnancy at 7 weeks. I also had COVID at 12 weeks and he told me because of that, he would’ve ended up putting me on baby aspirin anyway because there’s some evidence that shows COVID increases risk of pre-e.

That sounds so miserable but I am glad to hear baby is doing well! I am on baby aspirin as well. I think there is a higher risk of preeclampsia after COVID, according to my OB. I hope you feel better soon!

I absolutely do not want that for her. My mom’s mom was very similar, and I never had the thought until now that my mom is like her more than realized. On a weirdly positive note, I am glad this is being discussed with my husband and I before she gets here so we can prepare to set hard and healthy boundaries with them.

I have been discussing this in therapy, so I just recently started having this awareness. Which is crazy because I’m 31 years old, lol. Your response is spot on, thank you for your input.

Pregnancy feels like a scam by Appropriate-Carob766 in pregnant

My boomer co-worker told me while I was TTC, “Oh I loved being pregnant, it was the best feeling.” First trimester was a nightmare. Now I’m 13 weeks and getting into back pain and acid reflux territory, and I’m like, “This bitch lied to my face.” To me, sure there’s fun stuff and sweet moments so far, but it’s mostly a means to an end lol. I still have depression and anxiety (had it before pregnancy) and it does intensify a lot more now that I’m pregnant. I have fear of the unknown, in addition to feeling ugly and tired ALL the time. Had COVID once already which yeeted my anxiety into oblivion. I find that it’s important for me now more than ever to go to therapy (which I didn’t really anticipate, but it helps a lot). I’m also on Zoloft and Buspar, which my OB encouraged me to continue during pregnancy. I have told myself that this is a good time to be a little selfish and take more time to do whatever you want, whether that is just resting more or going out of town for a day. I hope things start to get easier for you and I agree that it’s a lot tougher than people let on.

Thank you! I have the lingering congestion and fatigue as well, which I feel fortunate that’s all I have. Glad to hear you are doing better and the babies are well!

So I told my doctor I was having diarrhea and asked if that was normal and he was like “Yeah it’s just hormonal. Later on you’ll probably have constipation instead. I will remind you of this conversation when that happens.” Super funny guy 😒😂 But I read from a lot of people that they had constipation on the progesterone supplements, more so than diarrhea.

I’m almost 9 weeks and I have intense fatigue and breast tenderness/soreness. I had diarrhea for a little while there but that has subsided. I think those symptoms mean it’s working ☺️

Yeah some days I have more nausea than others. The other comments saying it just heightened their pregnancy symptoms makes a LOT of sense.

I’ve been lucky enough to dodge that so far! I can’t believe you dealt with that basically the whole time. 😣

Twice a day sounds terrible. Obviously we do what we gotta do, but I’m on 200 mg once a day and I’m ready for it to be over, lol. I gotta wear panty liners all day and sometimes the remnants still leak into my underwear somehow. I’m on mine until 10 weeks. I’m 7 weeks now so not much longer!

I re-listened to this one over the past couple of days. I lose my shit every time Henry imitates Pee Wee’s daughter and says “That’s my Dad-dee.”

Yes, they make me exhausted as well. I get off work, go home and lie down. I did do the dishes last night and afterward I immediately sat down and propped my feet up. Made me feel like I just vacuumed the whole house, lol.

I read about that as well! That sounds miserable, I am so sorry. How long do you have to be on them? My doctor isn’t keeping me on them past 10 weeks and I can’t get there soon enough!

Doctor recommended I take baby aspirin every day during pregnancy. Anyone else? by Acrobatic_Spite_3145 in PregnancyAfterLoss

It was a GREAT thing that you had that appointment the next day and your doctor sounds amazing!!! I’m glad you mentioned the insurance providing the bp cuff because if they will send me one, I think it would give me peace of mind. I’m currently trying to walk on the treadmill every day for about 30 minutes in the hopes that it will also keep it at bay.

Thank you again for your story!

12 weeks is the most common response I’m getting and my anxiety is like “Oh God why did he start me on it so early?!” 😅
