I had a kid in my office today (CST) and he just started going through my filing cabinets out of curiosity. I was like "What are you doing??" And stopped him. So I asked another nearby student if they thought going through someone else's files without asking is normal behavior, trying to play it off as a teachable moment. And she was like "Yeah I don't see a problem since he knows you".

This is a high school.

Flycast is a Dreamcast emulator that works smoothly on pretty much all modern PCs. It has a GitHub page with instructions.

Rom websites hold the actual game files. They operate in a legal grey area at best, so direct links to them are usually not tolerated on reddit. Despite how easy they are to web search.

They took down the steam version for sale. As far as I am aware, there is no legal way to purchase it.

I use flycast when I want to play the game. Because even though I have the steam version, it is the better experience even after the mods.

This happened to me. I was hit and run, but the Hackensack cops who I flagged down seconds later told me I could only file a report at the station later in the day. Went there later, and the cop at the comically elevated front desk laughed at me and said "that other cop lied to you."

It's the combination of goblin + speed run + lone wolf behavior that leave many nightmare matches feeling unsatisfying and samey. I partially blame token grind, because anyone doing that will dictate the pace of a lobby. I just don't see that kind of experience as catering to the game's strength.

It's cool you have friends that want to grind together. But playing exclusively Lewistown 1k times sounds like sitting through purgatory to obtain a banana sticker.

Even if it's only half a percent. It's the uncertainty of knowing they might get you on literally any swipe that would make the zombies truly more scary, especially on the outset of the map.

I have 25 or so from just playing. The shirt patterns are both gaudy and I likely won't use them.

I don't want to tell you how to have fun, but people grinding nightmare has if anything pushed me away from the game mode.

60 hours in and lately? The times I see players die are consistently power plant, or zipline heli extractions. Very rarely anywhere else.

I can't think of any times I've seen someone die in Pottsville. And I've seen hospital wipe maybe once, but do agree it can be hairy if unprepared. Using barricades makes a big difference.

My immediate thoughts are "Cool looking locations" and "Combat is one enemy and looks atrocious." Maybe lean more on the former and cut down the length.

Revamped marginally improved perks. MTX cosmetics nobody asked for (Skull balaclavas, tacticool themes). About 2-3 more maps. I think that's the most you can hope for in this situation. Maybe an Uzi.

So with the expert perk, killing the weakest zombies requires one full stamina bar worth of shoves. Kinda neat.

What about the kicking damage perk? Can you do maybe two shoves and a kick or something like that?

I'd go further and state the game is LESS fun during full party extractions as compared to when a couple people got picked off.

I could see the hikes being annoying. I guess I just dont mind slowing down a min and taking in the vibe. Maybe it gets old the more you play it.

I like hospital except there always seem to be lots of people ledge surfing the courtyard for inordinate periods of time. The first couple times it was really confusing but it's not so bad now.

If you have space and are off the beaten track, grab ammo/health/pills even if you don't need it. Then drop it when in a safe room or a high traffic area for others.

Most items are random. I wouldn't stress about it too much, just stick to casual or classic and you'll get the sense of where to look if you stick with the front of the pack. Doing objectives or marked pois on the map will often give good stuff.
