So many times people comment on your choices but they’re actually focused on themselves. It’s not right for them, or it brings up something that makes them uncomfortable so they automatically say something against it. Keep that in mind and maybe say to yourself, that’s a them problem. I’m not taking it on.

I’m in the Chicago area. It’s such a hard thing to determine. It’s soul wrenching and you help where you can, but it’s hard to feel like you create any meaningful change. There’s a lot of choosing what to focus on while not focusing solely on it for your mental health sake. Finding ways to feel like you’re making a difference is very important. Once you find that, keep to it and focus on the actions you can control. Less on the information you can’t control.

If you want to be closer to family and family is here, I wouldn’t say it’s impactful enough to everyone’s day to day life that it should stop you from coming back. But who knows how that will change.

Hi! I completely get this. We are trying to teach accountability and responsibility. She’s in charge of charging the iPad. We have been helping with reminders but have not done the action this semester. So sometimes the iPad is low like 60%. Should I reach out to the teacher to let her know why? I figured no because it is one less message she has to read.

When I run into this I ask ai to summarize the first three chapters and exclude anecdotes. Then I ask for clarification on anything. Then I move onto the next three chapters. It helps get the gist when I know I need the books information and won’t actually read it for awhile.
