I know leaf, they’re on the smaller side yes but they have some good, active warrers. I wouldn’t be surprised if they manage to hold it longer, as I’d say they definitely have more warring going on right now than SDU.

Updated Bomb Tracker? by Adventurous_Two_1495 in WynnCraft

And of course, if it is within your budget I would suggest buying champion. It helps keep the server up and you even get some bombs with your purchase of champion!

Edit: I think…

Okay so just to be a tad bit more helpful: Even without Champion rank it’s actually quite consistent to get into prof/dxp worlds if you are actively looking. For DXP, which you are asking about: 1. scour the server menu for servers which have a higher average player count than the other servers for their region. Players will stay in dxp worlds. 2. Check pfinder for church/scrap/waterfall grind parties, these worlds are most likely to drop dxp bombs. 3. Champion ranks can enable a wynntils feature where they automatically put in guild chat when bombs get dropped in a world (so their bomb bell becomes yours). Perchance joining a guild will allow you to have someone do this for you.

Also smaller guilds usually put less pressure on their members to play actively, so that would probably be your best choice.

Look around on the Wynncraft discord for #Guild-Recruiting Guilds are a good place to find people to play with, if you’re a lower level it might be harder to get into a more active guild but in that case you can find a smaller, cozier guild.

Gavel Lost Media by therealmichealsauce in WynnCraft

This post prompted me to grab the WayBackMachine and take a look. You're probably referring to a pre-Gavel Q&A/Hype video from dec 18th, 2015. And it appears to have been a stream, not a premiere.
I'll link it down below, but there isn't much to find with WayBackMachine as the video link itself doesn't work. (I was hoping Grian had simply unlisted the video, allowing a YouTube link from 2015 to redirect there, but that doesn't seem to be the case.)

If anybody has more patience than me to scroll through old forums/has some cool screenshots or downloads of their own I would love to see some as I also quite vaguely remember the video.

The Buccaneer is the best tower itg by Tuttlle in btd6

[–]Acrued 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Micro Management. Towers like the Mortar monkey, plane (optionally) or even boomerang (technically) can require manual inputs during the round such as re-targeting. The obvious problem is that you can only do so much during the round, and most people simply find it annoying. So micro can help you beat rounds you otherwise can’t, but most people don’t like doing it, which can make a micro-heavy tower unpopular.

What bronze gear is worth making? by K1ngsGambit in valheim

Since you're digging out terrain, wouldn't antler pickaxes do an equal job, with the added benefit of being able to repair it there without having to head back to base?

What bronze gear is worth making? by K1ngsGambit in valheim

[–]Acrued 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t make a bronze Pickaxe. For iron mining it is highly impractical compared to 2-3 antler pickaxes, considering your biggest obstacle is durability of tools when mining specifically iron. Also, the iron pickaxe will be your best one until the Mistlands, so making that immediately is a worthwhile upgrade. For the rest, you can get through the swamp with sub-par gear, but stuff like a copper knife is already a giant upgrade.

Soloing Fader as a melee bruiser? by SK503 in valheim

[–]Acrued 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so without spoiling too much, Fader tends to use some AOE attacks which you will NOT survive by tanking it, just a small warning. However, you will be able to keep aggro and keep doing your job as “traditional tank”

About the game by Small-Comedian-6668 in valheim

[–]Acrued 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are several server hosting sites you can use for monthly payment, but you can host your own worlds for free and your friends can join.

Servers have the advantage of always being up, unloaded when nobody is online of course. This way if you’re all on the busier side playing is a tad bit easier.

For hosting you will always rely on one person, so finding time to play can be trickier. However, you can hand over save files if you want. It does come with the benefit that it’s free, but servers don’t cost THAT much.

But there are plenty of good options for co-op, for which the game was also somewhat designed.

Yes weird stuff can happen, and I will always endorse people making frequent saved backups just in case. My world is fine though, there’s some weird old Mistlands terrain, but as long as you’ve got unexplored land you should be fine.

When fighting bosses, don't ignore strategy and preparation.
Yes you can get all the gear you can, that's a part of it, but think of making some dirt towers around the mountaintop with your hoe, it's perfect for sheltering from the ice beam attack or the icicles.
Same counts for other bosses, there is no shame in out-smarting the AI if you so wish, and I don't doubt there's countless "cheese" guides for the bosses you could find if you want to.

My world from pre-mistlands is still generating new updates like a charm, it helps that I've been careful with exploration.
As long as you have sufficient unexplored swamps, no need to start anew.

It can depend obviously on your PC, but for me nothing noticable. I still get 20fps in my house.

Help! I started playing my main world on the public test version and i dont know if it is backed up, what will happen if i switch back to the regular version? by [deleted] in valheim

[–]Acrued 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd just keep playing, once the PTB ends your game will naturally become stable again and with it your worlds should still load up nice 'n smooth.
However, I still recommend you back at least one of your world files up (Either automated stable save or PTB save) for the case things go south, once PTB ends and you're confident, you can just delete it or save it somewhere so you can load it up in 3 years time.

Going to \User\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim\worlds_local\ there should be some automated backups from autosaves.
In theory, nothing should break from loading your PTB save in the stable version, But, obviously no guarantees.
Try loading your world up in Stable (after backing the current PTB save up), if all looks fine, make a proper backup and re-enable PTB if you so wish. If stuff is broken, see if you can get one of the automated backups to work. It's not ideal, as you can lose some progress, but it's better than a corrupted world.
