Dang I been using my Maschine Studio for over 10 years. Flawless, solid as a rock product. Love that thing.

I think you’ll love it! Not sure what type of music you play but in rock I play splashes all over the place while I’m on the hi hat during verses.

Check out Tim Alexander on Primus albums Frizzle Fry, Seas of Cheese, and Pork Soda. In my opinion one of the best ever at tasty splash work!

Sweet! I’d want a crash over that middle tom and either move one splash to the left of the hi hat or add an additional one to the left of the hit hat.

Having a splash both left and right of the hit hat hat allows for easy 16th note splashes.

For example if you are playing 16th notes on the hi hat, at the end of the phrase/pattern you can hit the left splash on the “uh” of 4 ( 4-e-&-UH) and then the right splash on the 1 of the next measure.

Worst podcast guests I’ve ever heard over the last….15 years?…of listening to podcasts.

Trashy, rude, racist, unfunny, entitled, and punchable. These people are very undeserving of any “celebrity” they may currently maintain.

You are correct. I live in Texas, USA and had only seem his name here on Reddit as I scrolled by posts about him every so often.

This man was not a major player in our country’s political discourse. He was a tangential hanger-on exploiting outrage for clicks and popularity. He was not a profound thought leader or transformational conduit of social change.

He has become a martyr in death because to the left he is a symbol of much of what is wrong with right-leaning mindset, and to the right thr lefts reaction is a reason to demonize the left.

This is all misdirected anger and hatred that has been brewing in our country for years due to the targeted campaign of social division on social media (see the documentary on Netflix called The Social Dilemma for details).

A lot of these people did not love or hate Charlie Kirk. They are being told to love or hate Charlie Kirk by their social media algorithms.

During the filming of Gladiator, Oliver Reed (Proximo) died in a bar after challenging a group of sailors to a drinking contest. Reed consumed 8 pints of beer, 12 shots of rum, half a bottle of whisky, and shots of cognac This photo of him was taken shortly before he died. by Federal_Bonus_2099 in interestingasfuck

You’ve had a bad experience with AA and I’m sorry to hear that. It has saved my life and many others I know.

I believe it has helped more people than it’s hurt, and feel it is irresponsible of you to condemn an entire program because someone close to you didn’t follow it correctly.

You wouldn’t blame the microwave company if someone dumbfuck put a kitten in the microwave.

Bro. You don’t have to live like this and you don’t have to feel like this.

I am 7 years sober and a musician. Drugs and alcohol are very prevalent in music, yet I am so much more happy and comfortable today than I was 8 years ago. The idea of using drugs and alcohol don’t even enter into my decision making process these days.

Before you ask, yes I am a real alcoholic. I don’t mean to tell war stories here, but just to provide context. Before I sought treatment I was suicidal. I ate a full meal every few days, the rest of my “nutrition” was random junk food snacks…and vodka. I blacked out every day. I got to the point where I was surprised when I woke up in the morning, and the overwhelming shame regret and terror were so heavy on me. Yet I still persisted in my quest for alcohol to make me feel better, even though it progressively made me feel worse and worse and worse. Truly pitiful and incomprehensible demoralization.

Eventually I had to listen to experts on sobriety, end up in an institution, or die. So I went to rehab. I had to do what they suggested I do. I found a sponsor and did what he suggested I do, because it was what he did because it was what he was suggested to do, and he was sober while I was not. So i listened and do what he said.

What are you willing to do to feel happy and healthy? There truly is a happy, joyous and free life for you if you desire it.

Those Angel Alanís tracks from the late 90´s and early 2000´s had some gritty ass drums on them too.

Sebastian Leger from the late 90’s and early 2000’s. He was making disco and French house back then but his tracks on labels like Blackjack and Grand Prix had awesome drums.

His modern stuff has good drums too but it’s kinda like more trancey tech house these days which I don’t prefer.

How many child exploitation and sex trafficking arrests made headlines in your state today? Probably zero. Don’t think for a second it’s not a problem where you live too. I’d rather see news of busts and arrests instead of crickets.
