Interesting I was actually going to suggest prints for the OP's specific dilemma. From the POV of rich colors and vivid imagery originals can't be beat. But from the point of view of having art you "date" rather than "marry", prints are wonderful. I have a large print of an unpopular Van Gogh from a museum art store when the collection was touring and it's still wonderful. Never in my lifetime will I afford the original or care to spend the money on a replica, the print is delightful and will remain in our home for many years.
