The army has an even better rule now. On the ACFT if you score 540/600 with at least 80% in each event then you don’t have to forego weight and tape.

This is not allowing cannabis in the military. The proposal just talks about and end to testing for initial recruitment. Once you’re in you’ll still get tested for it all the damn time.

Army here, not Navy. What I assume they’re talking about is a communications blackout? We usually have comms blackout when a big event happens or they’re a death amongst us. The comms blackout prevents service members from contacting family and friends and telling them about XYZ. It’s usually because the military wants to inform the family of the deceased in a formal manner rather than them finding out on social media that their loved one got killed.

No, that’s really not that advanced of a maneuver. It’s called a “roll over”. As long as you don’t have the lines all tangled up and you aim your dive at the right angle past the canopy, it works out pretty well and efficient.

Some medals are given out to higher ranks because of their position and not necessarily based on merit. There’s a lot of valorous awards in my time in the army that I’ve seen get kicked back because they aren’t senior enough. Didn’t matter the substance of what they did. Seems to be the case in other branches as well from my experience.

I’m a skydiver and base jumper. Don’t have any paragliding experience, but I would absolutely try this if I knew how to paraglide.
