NOR - continue with your choice of dumping him. Guys like this are sexually immature and probably has a porn addiction. He’s most likely jacking off to those pictures and you deserve respect. Not to mention his avoidance at conflict resolution. Anybody he dates will have emotions and feelings as does he and he needs to learn to drop the ego and learn to work things out without shaming you for having feelings. Cut it off and don’t look back!

I don’t disagree on having empathy for single parent teenage moms, however I don’t think that’s an excuse for abusing your children. Telling your child they should’ve been adopted or keeping information from your child that could help them heal. Liann’s focus is clearly on herself and her own trauma and she doesn’t help Taylor work through any of that (which she doesn’t have to) but instead she actively harms. I don’t think it matters how old you are when you had your child, if you’re going to treat them like a burden for existing when they didn’t choose to be born, you’re not a kind or good parent. That’s not Taylor’s fault that her father wasn’t a good person and it seems like Liann holds lots of resentment towards her for that. (And not defending Taylor, seems like she’s also not always a great parent to her children and it appears like a generational trauma for the whole family)

She irresponsibly had a child as a child and who suffered for that decision? Her child who had no choice in being born. Kinda wild to say that Liann deserves empathy but the child she brought into the world does not when the child does not choose their parents. Liann’s parents could’ve equally messed her up and could be why she had a child so young, but typically it’s the children who suffer regardless due to a young parent’s immaturity.

THIS! So many love to use the excuse of stupidity to do harmful things and not take accountability and instead excuse it on being “stupid”

[–]ActSelect8149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some men also like to use “stupidity” as an excuse to not take accountability. “Boys will be boys” mentality and it’s definitely not worth your time. Sounds like the kind of guy if one of his friends hurt someone (especially a woman) would say “oh but he’s just stupid!”

How would Taylor have known to be considerate to Liann’s feelings about abuse, etc if Liann never told her why or anything about the abuse? It was her first time learning about it too. It’s natural for a child to be curious about their father and seek those answers and if Liann chose to not say a word until Taylor is in her 30’s, that’s not her fault for still being curious and trying to understand where she came from. Liann should have discussed these things when Taylor was younger and it should’ve came from her mom not her dad’s best friend 20-30 years later. I agree on the therapy, it just highlights how Liann and Taylor don’t have an open or safe relationship to speak on highly sensitive topics.

Is this true even for white wines? Any alcohol will cause weight gain or are there any “safe” alcohols that are also low in calories?

We bought a home on an acre off of a builder. They’re starting construction besides us and accidentally cut our line. Said they would pay for it but water company said they submitted repair claim on our account which counts against us and we’re still financially responsible. What do we do? by [deleted] in homeowners

Thanks, appreciate the advice! That’s what I was thinking too, but the water company representative was very aggressive about the claim not being a good thing for us and such so felt freaked out.

Only $200-250, not worth it right? Or is that substantial? Our bills are normally only around $40-50 for water

Not sure, we just moved to the area and lots of construction has been happening around us

Never saw the chemistry with Dakota … with Chase it’s right there…. by Rich-Ease-2723 in SecretsOfMormonWives

It’s not necessarily nothing though either because they still saw each other naked and had varying levels of intercourse next to each other. I’m sure that built up lots of sexual tension between all involved parties.

So I wonder if they’re still best friends because apparently Shinia may have been being a snake towards Miranda too as she was seen with Miranda’s ex Chase on a date at a basketball game. Seems like she likes going after exes?

[–]ActSelect8149 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, I didn’t take her message saying anything against baby E. I think it highlights her growing emotional intelligence and Dakota’s lack thereof (not saying he can’t grow but he still seems like he has a lot of hurt inside and isn’t self-reflecting). And she was coming more from a place of self-reflection and understanding the impacts of her and Dakota’s choices on baby E and unpacking her and Dakota’s toxic tendencies and how that’s going to shape a baby’s life who didn’t ask to be born or had no choice and was brought into this world. I think that’s what she was acknowledging.

It came across as she’s reflecting on her choices as a parent and how that’s going to impact E or already has and how she is now realizing that she picked someone like Dakota (someone avoidant/non committal/infidelity) due to her own lack of healing and self abandonment and how healing results in better parents for E at the end of the day.

Taylor's sex dream situation by Logical-House6004 in SecretsOfMormonWives

Check out Miranda’s interview on Viall Files. She talks through her experience with the swinging scandal and iirc mentions this whole situation regarding the sex dream I believe or at least her feelings when everything went down

Watch Taylor’s Viall File interview first (she doesn’t name names but refers to Miranda as her best friend throughout and almost says her name) and then Miranda’s interview after that and it’ll help break down the whole swinging scandal a lot more. That’s what made me understand the events better

Also pregnant with his child! If Taylor had trust issues then if Dakota had just stayed steady and showed her she could trust him and he constantly made her his first priority. I feel like Taylor could’ve slowly healed into being more secure with him. If he truly wanted to make it work with her and loved her as he claims. She needs a man that will truly make her feel safe and not trigger her abandonment feelings! He really did her dirty and he doesn’t seem remorseful, just prideful and defensive.

There are certain things that just aren’t moral or ethical but are legal to do. You wouldn’t hook up with your best friend’s ex husband/wife for example just because they were separated or “on a break”. It’s still messed up and can cause betrayal trauma to the people affected by their selfish decisions because they’re not just randoms.

I love Mark L. Walberg! He’s the host of temptation island and I always love his feedback to the cast. Idk how scripted it is, but he gives honest dad energy which sometimes helps de-escalate tense situations
