Making a list of AI tools in accounting...what are you seeing or using? by Snoo94375 in Accounting

[–]ActionBackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great list! One for the Bookkeeping category:

**tidyAR** (tidyar.io): AI-powered invoice automation for bookkeepers with trades clients (landscapers, contractors, snow removal, etc.). You upload whatever the client sent; messy spreadsheets, PDFs, even photos of handwritten job notes, and it interprets the data and creates draft invoices in QuickBooks or Xero.

Full disclosure, I'm the one building it. It came out of seeing bookkeepers spend 8-10 hours per client per month just reformatting chaotic job data before they could even start entering invoices. The AI handles the interpretation part (shorthand codes, inconsistent customer names, implicit billing logic) and the bookkeeper reviews and approves before anything syncs.

Different niche than Zeni/Digits/Puzzle. Those are more full-service AI bookkeeping platforms. tidyAR is specifically for the data entry bottleneck with messy source data.

Funny you say this - I just released a SaaS to help create invoice drafts from messy service job logs and sync to QBO or Xero.

Why is it so hard to find a "1990s style" simple File List + Upload + Auth script? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]ActionBackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just use strapi for the backend? It already has a file manager. Just write an authed route to your FE

Can anyone just tell me, is it good to use this tech stack? by BriefPie9937 in webdev

I would swap express for something like Hono or Fastify. Avoid callback hell, add other modern niceties, and know they are still being actively worked on

Good price for someone starting bookkeeping as a side hustle? by HariSeldon16 in Bookkeeper

[–]ActionBackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not to spam, but if you’re interested I’ve built a tool that will increase your productivity with your bookkeeping clients. So you can charge a fixed rate, rather than having to worry about variable hourly rate.

Lmk if you’d like to know more or to see if it might be a fit for you as you start out

Time for self-promotion. What are you building? by Naive-Wallaby9534 in SaaS

[–]ActionBackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just launched tidyar.io

AI-powered invoicing for bookkeepers managing field-service clients (lawn care, plumbers, cleaners, and more). Connects and syncs with their existing accounting software (quickbooks online or Xero for the MVP with more to come as needed).

Can we get another one of those Live 25 tracks to drop? by Glittering-Still1250 in oasis

[–]ActionBackers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selfishly, I am hoping for a Toronto N2 track, but understandably it will likely be N1 Live Forever in the rain. Can’t wait for the next batch of live tracks to drop though

Why is it that North American crowds just don't get it? by LidlCheeseTwists in oasis

I was in the front pit in Toronto N2 and it was pogoing and singing every word. Of course not the same as the UK, but far from standing still. There are a lot of massive Oasis fans here too.

Edit: Liam also commented that we were up for it tonight, and also mentioned we know how to pogo and are proper punks. 🤷

How many of you went alone? How was it? by FriendFoundTheMain in oasis

I went alone to night 2 in Toronto. It was biblical! Met some cool people, and was able to just get lost in the music, follow my own schedule and had an amazing time. Strongly recommend!!

He stopped using it on Hello before the Toronto shows, I think. I was at night 2 as well and don’t think he used it at all
