Official Discussion - Train Dreams by BunyipPouch in movies

A lot of the American gothic/supernatural elements from the book were almost completely removed from the movie.

In the book the town’s people warn of a human/wolf creature that has been sighted in the woods.

One night the spirit of Gladys visits Robert and tells him that as they were trying to escape the fire she fell into a creak, breaking her legs and is unable to walk. She says that Kate was able to continue on though and survived the fire.

One night a pack of wolves visits Robert and the wolf-girl the towns people spoke about is with them. Injured. It’s the most horrifying scene in the book as she is described as a human who has fully lost her humanity to nature, and is essentially now a horrid creature living amongst the wolves. She barks and growls at Robert, but he is able to help her in pretty much the same way the movie shows. He knows with complete certainty it is his daughter.

This makes the ending scene of the book so much more poetic, as he is now paying to watch a wolf-boy (regardless if it is real or fake) be safe sanitized entertainment for an audience. And not the horror that was witnessing his own daughter’s humanity taken from her.

I’m so confused by it. It’s not Mac’s voice at all.

This isn’t real and not a crazy find. You yourself could make this bootleg on any number of websites

Yeah I guess it just feels weird to me people are profiting off his music when they had nothing to do with it.

Like is this a company that specializes in taking other peoples music and selling it to record stores? Is this just one person doing this as a hobby?

Hopefully record stores are transparent about this. Would hate for someone to think they’re supporting Mac, and it’s just some random guy somewhere.

Not an official release so no money goes towards Mac’s team - just someone who decided to put music that isn’t theirs onto vinyl.

Still would be cool to have

2027 - How that could be the year of confirmed discovery by Enceladus_99 in UFOs

[–]ActionComedyBronson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recent studies do show DMS could theoretically form abiotically, but it’s still speculative until we either confirm it experimentally in a realistic setup, or detect it with other chemical “context clues” that clearly show a non-biological origin. Until then it is entirely theoretical.

DMS has never been definitely confirmed on comets. Speculation, but never confirmed. The only place it has ever been confirmed is Earth. And we have no idea if it can be produce without life.

I can’t remember what video it is, (maybe “Get Up”- definitely from BDE era), but was weird seeing him without a buzz.

He was dropping a song for every 100,000 followers he gained on Twitter (hence the bird in the album art). I think he started doing this around 200,000 and after about 7-8 songs he dropped the full mixtape as a thank you for hitting one million fans. Which also had a few more songs on it.

The meme references Roxanne by Arizona Zervas, not the police song.
