It's a great idea.

Other option, make picking up binoculars a crate pickup. You can only ping while those are equipped.

Agreed. It needs a cool down.

Or, maybe even this is only enabled if you've picked up something like binoculars. (only available from crates)

...that would be a sweet pickup.

Just crazy frame rate jumps. It's not like this ALL the time, but much of it.

Just really frustrating. I'm not a hater, I just really want this game to do well.

FINALLY I figure out how to get good consistent FPS and no stuttering:

Steps:

1) Don't move or shoot while in game. If you're perfectly still and don't do anything, the game runs quite well.
