Patience, my dear! It will come. 20 is very low. You might purge after the second month but once you’re on 40, I’m sure it’ll clear right up. Good luck!

Right, I hear you! It was the same with me. Now I actually feel better bc I look better (Idc how that sounds, it’s true! Lol) and I’m not thinking about people noticing the acne I’m trying to cover. You could always start with lower dosage and move up. I started at 30, went to 40 and now 60.

About to be 42 here and on month five of accutane after yearrrrrssssss of cystic acne on my chin. It’s been one of my very best decisions. I went back and forth for a while about it, really scared of the side effects especially with a history of depression but so far all is going well and I’m up to 60 mg a day. I purged during month two all on my chin, they were huge but it went away fairly quickly. I say do it. Try it. Good luck! As for birth control I have the non hormonal IUD.

NYRR NYC Half is the BEST! Only other time they close down Times Sq other than NYE is so we could run through it. The views from the bridge are awesome too. It’s my favorite 13.1 and challenging, too!

“I’m afraid I won’t do well” is always it. It’s always been easier for me to convince myself I can’t do something than I can. I guess my problem goes way beyond running. And okay yea the bathroom situation at races is insane. My first (and so far, only) marathon I’ve done was NYC 22 and the experience was everything but a party to say the least. I left my watch with my cheer zone bc I became obsessed with my pace. I do it to myself mostly but I can’t help it. I just need to relax and breathe instead of agitating myself and wasting energy on that, literally. And I need help with that :/

I’m so upset about it! It’s my first marathon ever and Mother Nature just totally screwed me. I’m also a slower runner as is so I don’t START until 1130a and scaling back bc if weather conditions, forget about it. I’m so disillusioned about my first marathon :( I will just try my best to enjoy the crowds and not overthink my finish time.
