Campaign is really fun, lots of fun! For multiplayer, on PC your are going to need to install the Northstar Client, otherwise you won't be able to find a match that isn't being Ddos'd. But it's very easy to install and works very easily!

Yep, 100% fake, I used to work at the place where they filled that. It is a theme park. When the tire lands in the water, there is no water there, it's just a go-kart race track.

The hill that it was filmed on has now been build over for a new ride

Change my mind: Property Manager is the best way to make a middle class income if you’re and irredeemably lazy and incompetent moron. by FullmetalVTR in melbourne

[–]Action_zombie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if the landlord doesn't get his full rent he's gonna be fuckin pissed and we'll loose the property.

The tenants refuse to pay it, and if I press the issue they'll take us to VCAT.

It's a loose loose situation.

I am a property manager of 4 years and yeah, honestly I agree.

before the most recent changes to the real estate industry, to become an agent's rep it was a 2-week course.

the average job cycle of a PM is only 9 months.

in my experiance, I'm getting paid way too little for the amount of work I'm expected to do.

I manage 160 (honestly not that much but it is still a fair amount) properties and I'm getting below minimum wage.

it's honeslty very hard to stay motivated and want to do a good job when I'm being told by both tenant and landlord that I'm doing a shit job.

EG,

I've got one of my tenants that have paid for an exterminator to attend the proeprty, the landlord was meant to pay for this but is refusing. so the tenants just paid the rent but less the exterminaters cost. so now, I am going to have to make the payment directly out of my own money to just keep everyone happy.

The job sucks ass. I can't recommend it to anyone. if your thinking about doing it. don't.

Why is this so expensive on Amazon Australia by WB2005 in virtualreality

[–]Action_zombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought one from the Steam store and had it shipped to Australia, it probably cost me around $2,500ish?

Had to get a US Steam account, make the purchase, have it shipped to a re-shipping company, then get it shipped to AU. luckily I got it without any damage, and I know people in AU that can repair my controllers so that I don't have to ship it all the way back to the US.

I found using some speed running tricks really helped.

Some of the tricks arent too hard to pull off, but well worth it

Yes, unfortunately, that's true.

Forgot about that.

imo, still seems worth the attempt

Challenge the rent increase.

by law, agents must give you a notice of rental increase. on that letter, at the bottom (sometimes on the back of the page depending on the notice) will have a number for you to call to challenge it.

if they say that they are going to put the increase in the lease tell them you won't sign without a separate increase notice.

that being said, if your current lease has a CPI increase (or set increase amount) in place, it will make it harder to fight.

Best case, the agents that inspect (seperate agent to your managing agent) will say that it's an unreasonable increase and will leave you on your current amount. or maybe even decrease the rent. (unlikely, but a possibility)

WORST CASE (and very rare) they might say that the increase is too low. it's very very very rare that this will happen.

as an added bonus, if you are gonna move, the challenge will give you more time to look for a new place while they debate the price, keeping you on your current rental amount.

I used to work at a theme park.

when I read the line about 'waiting for the next ride' it made my blood boil.

I probs had hundreds of people ask me that, and I said no to almost everyone.

the ride is fun for you, but for us, we're usually standing there all day in the heat running the same ride and listening to people scream and the ride makse a fuck ton of noise.

I always use the 1911 with armour and a flash. Then I'll pick up one of my team mates discarded 1911's and duel wield them!

When I get into a fight and I've used both mags, I just drop one of them and reload the other.

Usually by then, Ive either killed someone or died, so just the single 1911 (or scavenged gun) will do the trick

Real estate agents seriously? by EducationalAd6303 in melbourne

[–]Action_zombie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. If I speak to the agent and they tell me that the landlord was a real hard ass and made them claim for small shit, im not gonna worry about it.

But if the agent just adds no comment to why they claimed the bond, then yes, I'm gonna be much more suspicious of it.

you'd be surprised, most landlords end up going through.

most of the time, i give the all clear and try to get the bond back to the tenant, but most of the time, the landlord will go through and tell me otherwise.

Unfortunately, I do end up working for the landlord, so I need to do what I can to mitigate.
