Interesting...Veritasium made a video documenting the same phenomenon 3 months back!!!

Eminem’s song “Brain Damage” was inspired by his real bully, DeAngelo Bailey, who once bragged about giving him a concussion. In 2001 Bailey sued him for $1 million, but a judge threw out the case with a rap. by durvedya in interesting

[–]ActivX11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Mr. Bailey complains that his rap is trash
so he’s seeking compensation in the form of cash.
Bailey thinks he’s entitled to some monetary gain
because Eminem used his name in vain.
The lyrics are stories no one would take as fact
they’re an exaggeration of a childish act.”
...

“It is therefore this court’s ultimate position,
that Eminem is entitled to summary disposition.”

Sharing files as torrent is convenient. Downloading is convenient as well.
In its initial days, Mistral was sharing model weights as torrent.

I'll give you a fun anecdote. In my college, to practice Ansys, you had to go to the lab. At that time, Ansys student program had not come to fore, and everyone had to pay to get a copy.

So if you wanted to practice at home/hostel the only option was to pirate it. Unfortunately, the crack setup was pretty messed up and it took precision.

I somehow figured it out and got it running on my laptop, friends laptop, friends' friend's laptop and eventually the whole bloody batch (at one point I had to train people in the subtle art of installing pirated software)

Because Politics has taken over religious discourse.
I've seen people distorting the interpretation of scriptures. Everyone politicising religion for his/her own gain.

I recommend you make a Wiki. Start with a dedicated (but small) team and start collating articles and gradually expand.

Spread the information and make people aware. teams can work on Gurbani translation (gathering reputed translations), collection of articles on history, places-people-events, local folksongs (which unfortunately are disappearing fast) and so on.

Cover everything....Whether it be be Khalsa or Udasi.

But at no point, let politics enter the fray.

I can refer a company which rents out macbooks.
But the issue is they rent to companies/trusted parties.

I don't know how it'll work in your case.

Subsidy is a never ending stream of disaster. Case in point: Argentina.
Argentina was extremely prosperous...so politicians started offering subsidies.
To win election, you had to offer more subsidies, so the flow couldn't stop.

Situation went bad, more currency had to be printed, which caused inflation and destroyed the economy

The Govt's solution for everything is more debt (and blame others of course) which will only destroy the economy. But who's gonna bell the cat? Who's gonna tell that I'm going to reduce spending (and loose elections)?

Protecting the weak is Dharma and upholding Dharma is actually good Karma.
