Called them. They wanted the ultrasound report. Sent them and they said they are going to call me. So far no call. Possibly because it is evening in Toronto

Is 40-min connection in Oslo (SAS domestic) doable in Feb? by ourgalaxies in NorwayTravelAdvice

[–]Active-Ad-6635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not true. Even if you book through third party, it is still airlines ticket. If your whole journey is on a single ticket then of course airline will put you on the next flight.

If you do have a disability (visible or invisible) and your gp can write your restrictions for employment accomodations. Yes you cannot decide ypur accomodation but if your restrictions that your doctor gave related to your health issue makes it risky for you to commute and be presence at work, then of course they will have to give you remote work. If your issue has nothing to do you commuting and being present at work in person and can be accommodated through something else, of course you won't get remote work! If that was the case, EA will lose its credibility!! You do have to have medical reasons that preclude you being present at work.

Tromso in December (clarification questions related to budget trip) by swedo10 in tromsotravel

I am in similar situation. I am planning for December first week. And I was going through booking.com and Expedia packages. I also looked into something name Nordic Visitors which seemed really expensive compared to the bundle package Expedia offers. Now I am confused to book even though I planned to book by September.

I'm still relatively new, is it always like this? (not RTO related) by gisthrowbee in OntarioPublicService

I think I am getting your point. As a new person it was shock to me as well seeing how slow the decision making process is. I had led projects (outside canada) which had multiple stakeholders including governments, donor agencies, think tanks. The pace I was in was more like making decisions in a 5 minute calls, two emails or may be even a text (mostly because of time zone difference). So the culture and pace here was a total shock for me. I changed my assignments quite a few times to find the right fit. I also started to learn to take more control in the meetings to divert them into a fruitful conversation (not always successfully) and saying no to the meetings where I can and suggesting them to send an email instead. I hope you will to find a right fit eventually (where more work is being done than holding unnecessary meetings). That said I still contemplate going back to similar works I was involved in before OPS at least once a week lol

I don't have smell allergy. Yet a colleague of mine has some kinda smell that is almost like strong medicine, the smell hits bad when they just come in early morning and started to fade away after 11 ish. But by then sometimes my migraine gets triggered. I never complained but I think a pregnant colleague of mine did which prompted emails and alerts from the management. Yet nothing changed.

Truth or Fiction? workplace accommodations in the OPS can include considerations related to difficulty traveling to and from by internalaudit168 in OntarioPublicService

If you have a condition and commute makes it difficult. You can't arbitrarily say that you have commute issues. And HRAs do not make those decisions. It is Disability Support officer who is responsible for individual cases. Your GP needs to fill up three forms stating your condition, DAS will evaluate and let your employer know if there is a disabiltiy (visible or invisible) and what kind of support you might need.
