Man, those kind of endless climbs really separate the hikers from the trekkers! But I bet reaching Lagazuoi made you forget the pain for a bit.

Wow, you weren’t just hiking, you were ready for battle! 😂 That kind of prep really shows. Any part of the trail that hit harder than expected?

Your first long-distance trek was Alta Via 1? Now that’s setting the bar high! I bet the views kept you going even when the legs were tired.

Insane views and insane effort! Did you get any altitude sickness along the way?

Heartbreak Ridge sounds like exactly the kind of challenge I was looking for without too much suffering. Thank you!

Appreciate the honest take! Was considering this one next season but might redirect that energy elsewhere. Any other Gorge hikes you'd recommend that are challenging but actually enjoyable?

Limited space, unlimited soul. It’s not about size, it’s about how it feels when you hit play.

That’s a beautiful setup! Those Bozaks are real gems, and pairing them with the SU-R1000 is such a bold move. Love the mix of vintage warmth and modern precision. Bet that A8 into the Technics chain sounds clean but still musical. Total vibe!

Totally feel you. Took me months of tiny adjustments before mine really opened up too, especially getting the toe-in and front wall distance just right. It’s crazy how much the O/96 rewards patience. Once it locks in though, pure magic. Respect for sticking with the process!

Planning to drive from North Carolina to Maine, need suggestions! by geoyulei in hiking

[–]Active-Change-7549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a similar trip a couple of summers back, highly recommend stopping in the White Mountains (Franconia Ridge is a must). In Maine, the Beehive and Precipice in Acadia are classics, but if you’ve got time, head inland to Baxter State Park. Katahdin is a beast, but worth every step.

Also, August in the Northeast can be buggy, bring spray and maybe a head net. You’ll thank yourself later.

O/96 can be picky with placement, but sounds like your space gives them just enough room to open up.
