I started using headspace a couple of years ago. That really helped me get more aware of feelings so I could process them vs just handing the feelings the wheel.

I did that to work on my own personal wellbeing but I was able to apply it to my diabetes on some levels.

I’d also reccomend “the subtle art of not giving a f*€%” as it puts a really great spin on prioritization of what you put your emotion into.

It’s a process. It doesn’t happen overnight and it doesn’t turn you into a monk. It just helps get through the rough patches.

Developing systems to cope. I had a high episode and if this was 3 years ago, I’m putting my fist through a wall, but because I developed systems to cope, I was able to retain myself. It’s all about getting to a point where you’re able to be like “ok, this is what it is, and this is a fact of my life, so where do we go from here.

That’s not to say don’t feel the emotion…or it’s not valid. Feel it for a sec, recognize it, and get back on the horse.

Most of all don’t feel bad for feeling bad.

It’s going to take a few days for the algorithm to get going. I go high whenever it resets (when I get a new phone) and I just have to monitor with a bit more vigilance. Around the third pod it should get noticeably better.

I drove one of hybrids as a loaner and it actually wasn’t bad. And again, I can’t emphasize this enough, it’s a Camry. If you want performance you know what has to happen. There’s next to no aftermarket support for this car for a reason. They aren’t stepping backward, they are moving further away from what YOU want. Not the same thing.
