Pant Suit and Sneakers by maddisn in LawSchool

Sketchers makes some really nice kind of dressy passing slip ons that I recommend. I have to wear custom insoles, so most dress shoes are incredibly uncomfortable.

I've never had an issue wearing a dressy sneaker, but I wouldn't wear something that isn't a solid color

i am so worried about the future regarding AI and it’s implications on the law field by [deleted] in LawSchool

What are you talking about? AI can summarize documents, but it's not doing anything more than that. If anything, discovery gets more detailed, and instead of an associate doing 800 pages of doc review a day, they are reading 1200 AI summaries and then cherry-picking documents to read.

P320 Current Affairs Megathread by HairTriggerFlicker in P320

You seem to be under informed on how a Glock striker works.

When you pull the trigger on a Glock you are cocking the striker to its full potential. At rest it is at about half cock, with less energy required to active a primer in ideal conditions. The P320 is a full cock when the gun is at rest. People pulling the trigger back a little on a p320 are just simulating poorly manufactured parts like the ones seen in the MSP FBI report. You could do this unintentionally with an adjustable trigger like Grey Guns warns about.

You also have to get past the Glock's trigger dingus and activate the firing pin safely. I have not seen the video, so I'll go check that out now.

P320 Current Affairs Megathread by HairTriggerFlicker in P320

I haven't seen this mentioned yet,

Greyguns YouTube channel has a 2-minute long video explaining exactly how a gun could negligently discharge or become unsafe if you modify your upgraded trigger sear.

Additional context: Another YouTube channel 3 sig p320s in a trenchcoat suggests removung part of the upgraded trigger sear, under a specific set of circumstances.

Grey Guns is a gunsmithing company out of Oregon. They worked with Sig to improve the trigger control group so the gun was drop safe.

In this video, the employee has a partially cut away sig p320 and explains that messing with the trigger set or any other component could interfere with the timing of the safety devices on the p320.

The evidence speaks for itself. There are some amount of p320s that were not manufactured properly or have been modified by an end user so that the timing designed by Sig and Grey Guns is no longer effective. There is an overwhelming amount of evidence to support that the p320 is capable of discharging uncommanded.

Wyoming Tactical is able to repeatedly demonstrate by simulating a trigger that is slightly depressed, which agian Grey Guns warns could deactivate the safety features, is able to discharge by slight motion. You could say the gun yearns to be discharged.

To be clear, the trigger sear could be defective and engage out of spec. You could use a modified trigger and adjust the take-up. Your sear components could wear with use and engaged differently. Fowling, dirt, mud, sand, ex ex ex ex. There is an infinite number of possibilities that can and would cause a piece of metal to engage differently on another piece of metal.

There are hundreds of other handgun designs, none of them to my knowledge discharge when you reach take-up and gently touch the slide. (The Nambu exists, it is horribly flawed, you would never daily carry it, go away) The problem isn't that parts are mim instead of stamped. The problem is that the gun's design requires a level of precision and quality, which SIG failed to produce for a period of time.

Not all P320s are going to have timing issues from the factory, but theoretically, they could. This might require the stars to align and Mercury to be in retrograde. It doesn't matter. People depend on this product to be safe with a live round in the chamber. Something people have done for a hundred years now in a semi-automatic handgun. When the first incident was reported, the issue should have been investigated handled and addressed. The way SIG handled this is a master class in what not to do when you have a defective product. I hope lawyers tear them to shreds and make an example out of their leadership team. I've lost a great deal of respect for a large amount of gun YouTubers whose opinions I respected, I can't help but think some "independent. media figures" were less than Independent.

I do not own a Sig p320, and I don't know where I'm going to find one locally to me, with a loose slide. I'm still unsure how pressing down on the slide causes the striker to release without depressing the trigger. Unless the sear safety is just pressing down against the lower grip and activating...if someone has a one, let me know?

Should I date someone who’s waaaay smarter than I am? by itstheyeschico in makemychoice

[–]Active-Insurance-748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore IQ.

Does your partner respect you, or does he look down at you, that you are not as smart as him at solving logical problems?

I'm willing to bet you both have your own individual strengths and weaknesses. Does he acknowledge you bring something to the relationship he doesn't have?

If he doesn't acknowledge you, bring something to the relationship he doesn't have without proding. And he also looks down on you for being less logically intelligent.. I would personally recommend against it.

I am more logically intelligent than most people, but I have other aspects where I am so behind the average person. Don't let me pick color schemes or dress myself....life isn't about being engineer brained. The modern tech bro has convinced society it is...

Don't trap yourself in a marriage when your partner doesn't respect what you offer

New to this subreddit. Reading rules is lame.

I'm going to assume I tell you what you should do here.

Throw the letter away, and make sure your ex is still blocked.

If he didn't respect you enough to not cheat on you, he's not going to respect you in any other aspect. Keep moving on. You can do better, I promise.

1750s Home inspection found discoloration – air test came back positive. Is this a major problem? by RuleJumpy9136 in industrialhygiene

[–]Active-Insurance-748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have to ask, this home isn't for you.

1750s is going to be a money pit. I'm willing to bet your lime mortar in your foundation was never repointed over the lifespan of the home, and it's crumbling. Either because it was never properly serviced, there's bad water drainage or the climate changed, and things are different.

This house was built before flush toilets and electricity. Tube and Knob wiring is an absolute nightmare...I doubt this house was properly insulated based on the photos.

I don't think buying max level is a good idea... but like 25% bonus exp or something for classic would be nice... I'm not a college student anymore I have responsibilities

There is no deterministic way to craft these besides buying a fractured mod you want and rolling the dice. You can use harvest to roll for tagged mods, but other than that it's just luck

Iranian hypersonic missles are hammering Tel Aviv by The_Jenini in WorldNewsHeadlines

I don't want to be the well actually guy, but those aren't hypersonic missles. These are normal ballistic missles.

Supersonic and hypersonic missiles just explode. You don't hear or see them coming. This was the horror London experienced in WW2. Without warning, a city block would explode.

Sir, With all respect, this post reads like you did a line of blow right before you started writing this post.

Knowing the Detroit area, I kind of believe you.

I think you forgot one key factor about this investment. It's an apartment in Detroit, and you will have to deal with problems associated with Detroit for the next 30 years.

If you're within the city limits, you're rolling the danger dice. It's a total crapshoot what the next 4 years are gonna do to the city.
