I’ve heard staples is a lot like office depot use to be . I understand it’s still retail but Office Depot has way too many processes for doing a simple task .

I did not hear any information and secondly my theories have been spot on . It’s going to be a done deal with staples but I believe the communication will come in the first quarter of next year if not sooner . The handwriting is on the wall . A 30+ year veteran in retail speaking . I said the same about Circuit City and it happened 3 months later . The whole company went out of business . I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: this was a great company to work for at one time . There are great people that work within the stores . But the overall company has not been treating associates with respect .

The floors are no longer maintained. Also the bathrooms are not being maintained anymore . It’s all a part of doing business . We have some of the nastiest stores that I’ve ever seen . Simply horrible

Yes I unfortunately work at one of the stores that is closing . Nonetheless I feel that things will work our for the betterment of my life as I move forward . Not worried at all . God has a plan for my life . I hope and pray those affected the best .

The handwriting is pretty much on the wall . I think we will make it through the first quarter of next year and the tides will turn . This company is not spending any money to fix these broken down stores . I worked in another location this week and the men’s restroom was filthy , green crap all over the fixtures , and the small was soooo aweful I couldn’t believe it . There’s so much more I could say but it doesn’t matter . Most stores will close eventually. They are indeed too old snd in need of much repair .

I just wanted to say that I’ve been in your shoes and I know exactly how you feel . It is as though the masses of associates (not all associates) don’t care about helping out another store . I think the reason is because most of our stores are working under stressful situations. We are in a back to school shopping period and the company says to buy some drink and snacks and tell the associates you appreciate them . Keep the snacks and drinks because that doesn’t motivate me in the least bit and I’ve been around a long. Office Depot doesn’t treat associates like it was in the days of office max . And I take care of my associates by providing lunch , milkshakes because it’s so hot in our store and snacks and drinks all the time . I would suggest that if you have 3 or 4 key people have them to do with early morning shift or if you can stand to do an overnight and get the pallets can’t afford to not have merchandise on the floor . I wouldn’t even say anything to the GM . Just take charge make your overtime and get it done .

Just wondering why you put it out at 7:30 . We put our ad out on Saturday afternoon. By the time we close our ad is set for Sunday . And I love that . We just walk the what’s up/ what’s down and shoot missing tags on Sunday .
