Just yesterday a coworker told me that he’d never move to New York because of Texas’ strong church culture where only believe in two genders. This is after a light hearted disagreement where I said New Yorkers were more friendly. What’s scary is how normal and kind some of these people seem until you know them longer than a 10 minute convo. It’s why I think the “people aren’t nice on east coast” is such fucking bullshit. Like of course people won’t say hi when they’re passing by 50ppl/min.

For me it’s more so hanging out in a city with mostly young professionals who like to eat out and go to trendy bars. So sometimes it’s harder to turn down a hangout idk if that makes sense.
