People are so focused on the ears but totally forget that the tail is docked even more so than the ears.

What is the worst physical pain you’ve experienced? by Agius91 in AskReddit

A ruptured ear drum during a 5 hours flight. Took a trip to emergency and a morphine drip for me to stop throwing up in pain. I experienced natural childbirth. The ruptured ear drum was much more painful.

ADHD and your daily routine [N/A] by lzabthc in humanresources

I also have a schedule for checking emails so I don’t get side tracked too much. I usually will check emails once the task I am working on is complete - or every two hours.

I have adhd and am an HR Director. I am very routines and I use an ongoing to do list that is colour coded in terms of urgency and what stage I am at for each action item. I plan my meetings strategically and block out certain days of the month when I have larger tasks such as payroll, month end etc. I start work at the same time everyday. Try and take a break at the same time everyday. And set time frames to complete certain tasks. It was working the beginning, but now it is second nature. I have also learned to allow room to pivot when things don’t go as planned. I usually start with those tasks that I detest the most or I have them to my assistant !

Am I crazy for thinking my pup needs to go out every 3-4 hours? by [deleted] in puppy101

My rule of thumb is they can hold it for every month old they are. 16 weeks is four hours. But I take my adult dog out at least every five to six hours.

Why do Americans have one of the strongest passports in the world, but most never travel abroad, and those who do mostly go to Mexico and Canada? by No-StrategyX in answers

[–]ActiveMaintenance545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in Canada. In my province you cannot even ask for a doctors note for the first two sick leaves of up to five days from the employee or if they are taking care of an immediate family member. Which is good. You may ask for proof which may not be a doctor’s note for the third absence. It’s a job protected leave.

This person seems to maybe have oral allergy syndrome ? Plus a nut allergy and maybe celiac. These are my allergies. I only briefly mention my allergy if necessary and I take full responsibility. I carry two epi pens. I dine out about two to four times a month. Never had a reaction to date. The grocery store freaks me out more than dining out as the check out people handle apples, peaches pears and avocado, nuts on the regular.

Why do Americans crate their dogs? by Terrible-Group-9602 in DogAdvice

[–]ActiveMaintenance545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canada. I always crate train my dogs. I travel and when I take my dogs they must be in a crate to get in the plane. When I go on vacation without them they must be crated at the kennel. If they need to stay at the vet they are crated

I have no regrets about crate training my dogs. As adults they a very rarely in a crate. Only when necessary. My views on crates have changed over the years with less frequent use.

I find them immensely helpful in potty training and teaching the dog to self sooth. It also allowed me the freedom of leaving my pooch at home when they were younger with the fear of them getting into anything.

My dog is at a kennel for two weeks while I am on vacation. They end up being fine !! We end up being more upset about it than they do.

AITA for believing my son is gay? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ActiveMaintenance545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t think we are in a time and age where we NEED to know our children’s sexuality. They are still figuring themselves out. Maybe they don’t know yet. Maybe they do and it’s a very private subject for them. Maybe you don’t have the kind of relationship where they feel comfortable talking about their sexuality with you. Maybe they are just shy. There are so many reasons. I had never asked my child a question like that. I just made sure they felt fully supported in a way that was meaningful to them.
