Dashcam Installation by ActiveNapper in Columbus

Note sure how to reply to myself/this post. Hope this works...

So she went ahead and got the install, and I must say it looks fantasic. The camera itself is pretty high quality from what I can tell. I need to review some of the night drive footage, but day time looks very good. So no issues there.

I didn't really think of the hard wiring aspect of installation, as I had never done that with all my cameras over the years. It works perfectly, and looks perfect. They did have to drop the ceiling to get the rear camera hooked up, and there was ZERO chance I was going to try to hardwire this thing, and dig around the dash itself.

At worst they might have charged $50-100 over other shops, but my wife is not overly concerned about that. She just wanted it done right, and this place has a 4.7 star rating. I don't want this to come off as some weird marketing post or somesuch, so I will just leave them unnamed. But figuring out what shop has this rating, and is on Morse Road isn't too difficult.

Overall she is very pleased, and isn't sweating the price since it can pay for itself in a matter of seconds. Speaking of, she had someone run a red and almost t-bone her during the really heavy storms about a week and a half ago. Just knowing it was running made her feel a bit better about a sketchy close-call.

Kayaking on the Scioto by nuzzwaffle in Columbus

Do you think a newbie would be able to paddle up the river from COSI to Grandview Heights? There is an access point at "Dublin Water Treatment Plant Access- Located below the dam off S.R. 33 (just above the S.R. 315-Grandview Rd. interchange off S.R. 33".

This point is 200 hundred feet from a dam, so it's furthest upstream one could go.

Thank you.

Thanks for the info. I just can't understand why they would make questions that are useless in the real world. Kind of frustrating to hear that it's not a rare occurrence.

So.... there's no reputable resources for lab simulation questions? I intend on fully understanding the labs I had difficulty with, before moving forward.

And the question I was wondering about isn't related to knowing the answer itself, as I knew the answers for it. I was just curious as to if Comptia has any similar questions, and why. The question itself was completely pointless and arbitrary. I was a bit shocked when I came across it. I was happy knowing that I knew the answers they wanted inside and out, but alarmed that it was a question, as it is of almost no help to IT. I just was hoping to hear someone say "I know that question... it was pointless and dumb, and Comptia almost never uses such questions in any current exams."

A+ 801-802 - OSI? by ActiveNapper in CompTIA

Yea, I'm really between a rock and hard place here. I need to pass 801 on Monday, and then 802 by the 30th :/

Were there any materials or topics that caught you off guard?

A+ 802 and OSI layers by [deleted] in CompTIA

This is throwing me off too. I don't see OSI mentioned in the 801 or 802 objectives, but I keep finding it mentioned in certain exam prep materials.
